Honest review from 1st time Gimbal user
I did a fair amount of reasearch before making my mind up and buying this model, I looked at multiple models, and several retailers as well as reading up on all the online reviews here, youtube and on other sites. 48 hours after it arrived here is my opinion of it.I love it, and here's why........Firstly, the gimbal is very well made, lightweight and comes complete with a carry case, an important extra which will make a big difference when I use it later in the year on holidays and other filming. The controls are well laid out and easy to operate while keeping a grip of the device. It came abiut 75% charged, but I still followed the instructions and charged it up to 100%, which took less than 20 minutes. Once charged, and downloaded the app onto my Samsung S9+ (very easily) I set about balancing my phone on the gimbal (before turning the gimbal on - THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, mentioned several time on the instruction video's and booklet, do please don't ignore). Balancing took seconds and I was ready to go, bluetooth all connected, time to start filming and playing.........The operation is very smooth, and I struggled to hear the motors going. You can do everything from the controls on the gimbal but you can do even more my selcting options on your screen phone if you want to, once I got to grips with the basic controls, I had to play with this one of thes gimbals best features, the inception mode. This works brilliantly and allows you to film a revolving shot - look at the many youtube explanation video's for more information. And on the subject of youtube, the manufactures have loaded up lots of useful how to guides, instuctions and tips, so make some time to watch as many of these as you can, it makes using the gimbal a lot easier, if it wasn't easy enough already, and you will get much more enjoymant out of your gimbal. For value for money, this is a no brainer, I honestly beleive this is the best gimbal you can buy for less than £100, yes there are cheaper ones, and yes there are better ones (that cost a lot more) but from the reviews I sam from users of other gimbals, they nearly all said this was the best value for money gimbal out today.Happy with my purchase and if you buy one of have one too I hope you have as much fun with your as I have had and intend to have over the summer and beyond. Thanks for reading.

Great value product - software could be better
I bought this gimbal about 6 months ago, have used it frequently since then, and am generally very happy with it. I have a YouTube channel, keefcooks, and I use it for outdoor, walking-around shots where the stabilization is excellent, and also for informal cooking videos where it's useful for selfies and as a mini-tripod. I like to use the tracking feature on these shots because it adds more life to the images than a fixed tripod shot. The gimbal is solidly built and quite weighty. The motors are totally silent. Battery life is outstanding - I've never got close to running it down while shooting. In fact you can use the gimbal's internal rechargeable battery as an emergency power source should one of your other devices run out of battery.I read one review on here where somebody complained about the motion going crazy and almost injuring his fingers. Something like that happened to me in the early days, but I'd been walking around, not shooting, and letting the gimbal hang freely while switched off. So the various axes would rotate randomly and when I switched it on they had to sort themselves out to get each motor zeroed. Just something you need to be aware of - always carry it in the supplied case and you won't have any issues like that. There's a couple of things I'm not keen on. When you switch it on you need to level the gimbal with your phone attached. This is done by loosening a screw and pulling or pushing the arm away from or towards the centre of the gimbal until your phone is horizontal. This is a very delicate movement and a tiny change in position has a big effect on the balance. This would be much better if the retaining screw had some kind of rack and pinion mechanism so you would just turn it a bit and it would position the arm smoothly and save a lot of frustration.I find the joystick control for moving the camera up/down, left/right to be a bit overenthusiastic, so a small press in one direction results in a big movement of the gimbal - I would like to see slower motion and some kind of easing on the acceleration/deceleration.Finally, I found the app that controls the gimbal to be quite basic in terms of camera controls (my phone is a Sony Xperia XA2) - I haven't found out how to lock focus/exposure etc, so that can sometimes cause problems in my footage. It might interact with other phones more effectively, I don't know.To sum up, this is a great value product for the price.
