Great controller
I had a kontrol mk1 and it was time to upgrade to mk3. It's a very well built piece of hardware that works seamlessly with traktor pro 4. Has a few inputs for versatility which is great. Really love this controller and hope it lasts a long time. It does seem a bit expensive at a thousand bucks, but it is you quality.

Digital done right
Wow. 20+ years of using DJ equipment and this tops my list of favorites with just a few days of use. I've always had a strong preference for Vinyl but used many different digital interfaces while playing out. I never really liked how the software worked or how the jog wheels felt. But convenience won, I caved and bought this to use on my 600Gb+ collection of MP3s.The Traktor S4 Mk3 simply does what I want it to do and does it very well. All the inputs and outputs you need in a 4 channel mixer. All the features you want in a club style controller and then some. The only thing I would change (which is possible with software/firmware updates from NI) is how FLUX mode automatically engages with reverse mode. Not sure some of the negative reviews. I understand there may have been issues at the launch and with older operating systems. Mine worked without issues and setup was a breeze. New firmware seems to have resolved the issues. If you're not on Windows 10, suck it up, it's user error.Vinyl will always have a place in the DJ booth, but digital can offer a lot now in a smaller space. 10/10 would buy again and again.

My experience with native instruments and traktor specifically
I am 15 year Traktor user I just was reviewing the comments and let me start out by saying I have started with just using the dj software on my Mac by accident a friend installed it I was clueless about djing but love house and techno music was at Sounds factory .. discotheque .. Roxy .. vinyl … fun times .. so I would just mess around with traktor on my computer my friend was into the dj scene so I asked him to teach me how to use the software each week he would show me one thing like how to sync or wat BTM special effects fx et also looping the basics then he past way ( Marlon Djflex Santos rip ) about 15 years ago so since then I have never stopped kept learning then started to build my record/track collection after because no matter how good u are it is just a tool and if u dont play good music doesn’t matter how good u are so found my niche and it has evolved over the years so then wanted to try some hardwareI started with the Z1 then X1 then. Got the S2 then the S4 I also got the machine Mikro to messa around with … the S4 is simply amazing I purchased like 3 years ago and I still use 4-5 times a week and record my sets since I have had it .. I can’t praise this product enough I have never ever even experienced a glitch I take really good care of it I dust all the time don’t keep any drinks around it never drop it and it looks brand new and performs brand new I did have an issue wen I just upgraded to the new traktor that just came out kept on skipping like an half hour into a set took a while to figure out I tried saving my music library for traktor to access directly on my harder instead of having it on an external hard drive and then I messed around with the buffering settings and after messing around for awhile I have had no more issues again native instruments makes amazing equipment all my hardware I still have and all works like it did brand new I would take good care of it … and traktor software might be tough to learn but it is amazing advice def learn it practice practice practice but to end this comment I want to thank native instruments for making exceptional top quality products that I will continue enjoying for the rest of my life lol just wanted to share my experience .. thanx and have a good day

I wanted to like this, but alas again NI dropped the ball on software/hardware support.
First off, let me start by saying I LOVE NATIVE INSTRUMENTS. With that being said, it seems like this always happens with all of their software bits. I run a lot of their gear including the Komplete S49 MK1, Komplete Audio 6, and Traktor S4 MK2. I hesitated on even purchasing this because I saw all of the issues people had with the deck from the get go.I waited a year. It seemed ok so I bought it.I tested it out a few times on my laptop and also my Windows desktop. Worked just fine.Problems occurred after windows update--Windows updated several times over the last few weeks and didn't think anything of it.I went to start it back up and got it going. Audio was perfectly fine in the deck, feed was fine, no redlining nothing.MAJOR BUFFER UNDERRUN with the Audio feed going from the Booth / Audio out. I'm not sure why but it definitely was somewhere between the USB/Audio out + Windows 10.I tried multiple ports including a USB3.0 DAC + USB 2.0, Front USB 2.0 / 3.0 and they all stutter out.My Build--- Intel i9 9900K- Gigabyte Z390 Designare- 32 GB DDR4 (PC3200) RAM- ROG STRIX RTX2080- Apollo Twin X (Thunderbolt 3)etc. etc. all really decent hardware.Later, I found out it's some unresolved issue with USB3.0 and Intel. While this may not be entirely Native Instrument's "Fault", this isn't the first time one of my hardware devices have failed (Native Instruments Komplete S49 MK1 keyboard died for several months early last year and they were aware due to a windows update). All I can say NI, Please hire a software team that talks to the hardware team. You all have badass hardware and it falls short yet again. I'm really disappointed but I think I'm going to make the switch to either Denon or Pioneer and I absolutely despise Pioneer.I love Traktor and the software + FX and feel they're way better when it actually does work but unfortunately when I just wanna throw down some tracks on a live mix I cannot be embarrassed by audio distorting out / redlining / causing speakers to blow on my viewers' end.
