wonderful device, does the job

nice for the price

This splitter seems to be working well. However, I am not too thrilled with their user's manual. For the most part, the documentation expects the user to be able to understand the technical nuance. The instructions are not comprehensive.

4K@120Hz HDMI 2.1 Switch 4x1 with Audio Extractor

4K@120Hz HDMI 2.1 Switch 4x1 with Audio ExtractorRarely have I seen tech that works correctly and I’m happy to say that I’m very impressed with this device. It’s breathed life back into my aging but perfectly functional receiver while preserving the image displayed by my 4k HDR projector. If you have a receiver that isn’t compatible with current video standards this is the device you want.

ezcooTV=LGOLED65C3PUA eARC on HDMI-2Soundbar= LG SC9S eARC input4K/8K HDMI 2.1 Switch & eARC Auddio ExtractorIt's a nice looking unit but (see below)I noticed the only reviews were from those who received the unit free. Did anyone test it thourouly?I could have tested it!How did they test it and with what brand of TV/Soundbar combo. How about audio extraction etc.I was hoping this device would allow audio extraction for use with an bluetooth xmitter for headphone use.I was not interested in the HDMI switch portion at this time. The unit is definitely not plug/playSetupSW1-Audio Source, ON (down)eARC/ARC TVSW2-Audio Device, OFF (up) Soundbar eARC/ARCPlug (soundbar eARC/ARC) HDMI 2.1 cable to the LG SC9S soundbar using an HDMI 2.1 cablePlug the (eARC/ARC TV) HDMI out to the eARC/ARC input on my LGOLEDC3 TV (HDMI 2)using an HDMI 2.1 cable.Power on TV-no audioPower on ezcoo- no audioI was able to get it to work but as soon as the TV was turned off and was then turned back there was no audio.I also tried several EDID selects. The soundbar did power on but no audio was present.I guess CEC works because the sounbar does power on/off when the TV is powered on/off.Failure modeTV was still in the HDMI ARC sound mode as verified with TV remote but still no audioThe only way to get restore sound was to turn off the ezcoo, using the ezcoo remote, which automatically places the TV in the speaker mode. (sound is present)Now I must grab the TV remote and put the TV back in the HDMI ARC sound mode. There is still no sound at this point but turning the ezcoo back on restores the HDMI ARC sound to the LG SC9 soundbar. Note just turning the unit on will without changing audio to HDMI ARC will change the TV audio to HDMI ARC but still no sound.MUST CHANGE TV TO HDMI ARC PRIOR TO TURNING EZCOO BACK ON.Note I did try different EDID select settings on the ezcoo. All is good until the TV is turned off. All the above steps must be repeated to restore sound to the soundbar.I never tried verifying the audio extraction Very tedious and painful to use this ezcoo.* every time the TV is powered back on requires1. Turn off ezcoo (TV speakers are then auto selected, sound is now present)2. depress tv *settings on LG magic remote.3. Select HDMI-ARC (no sound present)4. Depress *settings to exit setup.5. Turm ezcoo power on (HDMI-ARC now has audio sound through the soundbar)

Five star product with a 3 star remote. Highly recommended.

I purchased the ROFAVEZCO Audio Extractor to allow me to connect a Sonos Arc to my older TV. It's annoying that a soundbar as expensive as the Sonos Arc does not offer HDMI out; thus, requiring a 3rd party product to work with older televisions. Most of the posts on the Sonos forum suggested a similar product that sells for about 3 times as much as the ROFAVEZCO. Ouch. Given the cost differential, I chose to give this unit a try.Overall, the device works great. I haven't encountered a single problem in use. The unit seems well built. The connections are solid. And the unit offers plenty of output flexibility. I would rate the unit, itself, 5 stars.I'm knocking off a star because of the remote. The remote does not provide a discrete ON/OFF command; rather it only offers a single toggle, which can cause problems in automated remote control sequences. Mildly annoying. More importantly, the remote fails to mirror all of the unit's functionality. Besides power, the only other function offered is to change inputs. EDID cannot be changed. That means you'll have to get up off the couch anytime you want to change the EDID setting. Most people will probably set and forget this switch. I need to change it to switch from multi-channel bitstream to stereo PCM (copy) to allow the use of wireless headphones that require a stereo PCM signal.Highly recommended (especially if you don't often change the EDID setting)
