True to color and nice. Not big and bulky like I thought it might be. Actually a little compact for such a big bang. I have to get used to how it toasts. Don’t k is if it’s because it’s still fairly new but be aware when toasting back to back it will toast the second set darker without touching the settings. But with that being said the toast was still very soft and edible so I didn’t mind. I really like it. Very unique and good quality.

All around awesome! Sleek, cool design, numerous toasting options and can't beat the clever pastry warmer.

I love the retro look, and it toasts well. We love the rack for keeping things warm while waiting for something else to cook. Lovely.

1- BECAREFUL! This thing gets hot!!! Yikes! Even the warmer gets very, very hot! I have to watch my cats, partner and myself when I use this toaster! Both the toaster and the warmer have to cool down for about 10 minutes before I can safely put them away. The toaster would be impossible to move before cooling down unless you were wearing oven mitts and had a safe place for it to go. The warmer’s handles seem to not get as hot and are touchable but the bottom is still way too hot to touch anything. Meaning you can’t sit it down on anything that could burn or melt. Maybe if you designated a place in a drawer or a cabinet and put a trivet or silicone mat down it would be ok, but honestly, I’d just becareful and let it cool down in the open air.2- I like the look of it. The dial and the lever seems a bit a cheap but I mean, the toaster was cheap so what more could I expect?3- The main selling point to me was the cover lid. I loved the idea of that! Sadly, the execution of the lid needs to be improved. It’s hard to get a good grip on the lid and it also slides around a lot when it’s on top of the toaster. It doesn’t have a tight seal either so honestly I think I’ll be replacing it for a silicone cover. If I had known that I probably would have just purchased a different toaster and then bought a silicone cover to go over the top. So be warned if the lid is your selling point. Just get a silicone lid and avoid this one-you will be happier.4- I don’t use toasters very often so this one should last a few years. If you make toast daily, I’d invest in a higher quality one. If you’re an occasional toaster user, you should be relatively happy.5- I’m still getting used to the settings. My old toaster I had set on a 5/6. This one I’m not sure I will ever use a setting over 4. Maybe if I’m warming something really thick on the tray I’ll go to a 6 but that’s it! I like my toast to be a tanned golden- one shade above regular golden- and the 3/4 setting seems to be my limit. I was toasting croissants so the high fat content might be causing the bread to toast faster than standard white bread. I’m not sure. Like I said, I’m still figuring it out 😊

I had a 4 slice toaster for a well know company. It would only toast one side. I would have to turn the bread around to toast I the other side. I love my retro toaster. It toasts beautifully every time. I also love the retro look.

(Also, the toaster is still toasting and getting plenty of use) 😀So we purchased this but also received an Amazon basic toaster for Christmas. They have the exact same heating mechanism. Big difference though they both get hot but the Amazon basics is plastic and actually started melting. This is the hottest toaster I've ever owned. If it wasn't made of metal I feel like it would be a fire hazard.Im not going to fault them on the toasting ability but they really should add some sort of heat shield on the inside to prevent any accidental Burns because this thing will burn you.

I emailed Amazon but no one replied.The toaster arrived few days ago looking beautiful like the picture, but unfortunately this is toaster from hell :(( 2 out of 4 heating elements inside don’t turn on, and the one that do, burn the bread to the point that its catch’s fire. Glad I was home with my 10 year old when we used it for the first time. Cause the fire flames from the toaster went up high.Horrible products !! And dangerous as well, do not buy.
