Really clean. Easy To use lights quickly

Decided to give these a go when on a price deal and found them very good for the job intended. Easy to light and burn well a start a BBQ.

I now don't need small bits of wood and newspaper, (in my chimney starter). I use 2 of these cubes under the starter placed on the charcoal grid. Done this most nights and the charcoal has ALWAYS lit. Gave some to a friend and he struggled. I went round with some Weber charcoal and saw that he was using Tesco rubbish.....with horrendous reviews on their website. One slight downside is the cubes take a bit of lighting. I use a £2 refillable gas stick. Otherwise use those long matches that women use to light fancy candles.....or a blow lamp if you are in a hurry! (I state that I use Weber charcoal. That is because I shut the air off after cook and reuse the briquettes. If I was using a BBQ without vents then I would use proper charcoal from someone like 'Oxford Charcoal' or 'Caradoc').

These have lasted me really well. If you combine this with the weber charcoal starter you will have a bbq set up within 10 minutes. They don't smell much and do let little smoke out.

I use two or three of these in a Rapidfire chimney depending upon how much charcoal I'm going to use, and I'm impressed with how well they work.A long match lights these no problem and they burn plenty long enough to get the charcoal lit.So even though they aren't exactly cheap a bag of 48 will (in my case) very easily light more than 15 barbecues, which makes these very good value - and they don't introduce any odour or taste either.As far as I'm concerned, these are great.
