After doing some research on this memory, it was reported and found to work in other manufactures laptops and computers, hence my purchase for my Lenovo ideacentre. As long as you follow the specs as in DDR3 CL11 1600, 1.35-1.5volts you're good to go ! So you're maybe wondering why I purchased 2X8GIGS of memory made for MAC ? Well its a least £4 cheaper for the same memory, 'thats not made for MAC', 'maybe some sort of marketing ploy' The I'm made for MAC thing,. If anything I would of thought it would of been the other way around as in the MAC memory would of been more expensive,. The memory works great and is of good speed and steady voltages, I got this memory along with a 2nd hand Intel i74910MQ CPU, The improvement is superb and going from a i54200M with 8GIG of ram has made a massive improvement from a 2013 product, along with my Samsung 1TB SSD I reckon this upgrade will last me at least another 7 years, So only £60 for the memory and £100 for the CPU, a cheap way to keep things up to date on my now very fast 'general use' computer.

It works great in my ole iMac by expanding the memory to 20G. Really nice to see old machine with new life.

Gave us the confidence to upgrade a perfectly good but slow MacBook Pro.If you have anything up to a mid 2012 MacBook and it’s frustratingly slow and looks for any excuse to crash, do not despair. Our laptop has been in for investigation and we were told it was fine and there were no problems. But it only has 4 GB RAM which is pretty much useless for this day and age. We were about to upgrade to a 16 GB Model or even switch to a Microsoft Surface at an eye watering 2k minimum and then I suddenly thought let’s look on Amazon and see if there is a memory ‘thing’ we can try. The first thing I learned from the reviews was that we were just inside the window for being able to upgrade the RAM ourselves. Second thing was to ignore the instructions on Apple website to only upgrade to 8 RAM. So we purchased two 8 GB cards. Husband earthed himself this morning as suggested and replaced our two 2 cards for the new ones. In other words we went from 4 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM. Restarted the machine and watched in astonishment as it rose from the near dead and leapt into action. Everything was loaded, including my 22,500 photos in a flash. Allowed me to perform some basic photo editing in seconds which would normally take half an hour and a load of bad language. In fact it’s now so fast it is waiting for me to tell it what to do next.Joking apart I could not recommend this product higher and can confirm that you can easily do the job yourself and you can double up on what Apple says. And like previous reviewers you will be a lot of hard earned cash better off! Feels like a real victory!

I had just gotten a refurbished macbook pro which only had 4gb RAM so basically the very bare minimum, had logic pro installed on it but because it was only running at the baseline ammount it wasn't enough and the program kept crashing. Purchased 16 gb RAM , then using an antistatic band I carefully removed the old and replaced with the new. Fitted perfectly and now the DAW runs like a dream. Great purchase and works perfectly. I've had a mac mini server for several years with a large storage capacity which holds all my music and films. But I rarely used it because it was so slow. It came with 4gb of RAM which is woefully inadequate. Finally I had had enough of waiting 10 minutes for it to boot and constantly looking at the spinning wheel whenever i clicked on a application. I'm not overly tech savvy, so bit a bit of online research and spoke to a few people and all suggested in the first instance to upgrade the RAM. This machine takes 16gb RAM maximum and working on the assumption that one brand is as good as another, I looked around for the best priced 16gb upgrade. The TimeTec appeared to fit the bill at just over £60 for 2 x 8gb sticks. It arrived next day and following advice, I wore rubber surgical gloves to handle, remove and install the new RAM which was a very easy process. Then I switched on. BINGO! The Mac now runs as it should. Fully loads in less than 1 minute and loads applications without delay. Wish I had done it years ago. So in short, this memory seems to do the trick.
