very good product

Runs cool with 300 watts for 2 years now.
Plugged in to power a CDN phone system in Europe for 2 years, never overheats.

does not do the job it's advertised to do
Tried plugging in a 300 watt appliance. It blew the fuse, then when I reset the fuse, the converter blew up and shot out sparks and smoke. Doesn't do the job. Doesn't even seem safe. How is Amazon allowed to sell something like this?

it works for audio equipment.
the power output of my cd changer is 10 watts so this transformer is entirely suitable.

Bought the transformer because I bought an US appliance it's not to big don't hear it and does not get warm sa very happy with it

Does what is promissed
Compact, well designed and rather silent in use, easy to handle but be reminded it is max 300 watts and with LCD stuff etc. the recomended output should not exceed 150 watts as I gathered (see description).All very good.

DANGEROUS!!!!!!
Did not work.1. Socket did not make contact with the pins of the plug2. 120v socket would not securely fit into the case. When you went to remove the plug, the socket came away with you3. exposed electrical solder points (small solder joints) when removing plug4. no earth wired into the socket5. cheap fuse fitted into plug... which was in 3 pieces (silver caps were not around the fuse)Total waste of money!
