Absolutely awful product! Never react to any creams as don’t have sensitive skin but this has literally burnt my skin off after a single use!! I have never had a reaction like this before and used it according to instructions ( I have also researched retinol use and was aware of potential initial reaction but this was far worse than I could have anticipated) had to invest a small fortune in buying calming creams and mists now as still am in agony and unable to wear makeup as it’s so bad (red, dry and peeling off, looks like chemical burns)I would advise everyone to consider going with a different brand if you still want to use retinol.Also unable to get my money back as Amazon directed me to loreal instead of dealing with the issue.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I’m 49 with sensitive, dry skin, and this L’Oréal Revitalift Retinol Serum has been amazing. I was worried about irritation, but it’s been gentle and effective. My skin feels smoother, more hydrated, and looks more radiant after just a few weeks. Great product — highly recommend if you’re looking for a retinol that works without harsh side effects!

I've used loreal retinol products before and have always been great. First time I used this it did sting a little and dried my face out quite a bit. 6 weeks later my skin looks so much better its helping with fine lines. Make sure to use a good moisturiser after. It says not to use near eyes and its not joking I accidentally rubbed it over my eyes and woke up with red stinging eyes had to get cream for burns from my doctor so please don't do what I did. I've had quite a few comments about how my skin is glowing. It every effective at targeting fine lines and wringles. It has a slight fragrance to it but nothing over powering

Lovely on my skin my skin so soft and smooth face felt tight when I applied it so it definitely working as my face looks fresher only using 3 days iv baught 2 bottles as bargain with big discount

I’m a 39 year old man with a big beard! But, I have got quite a few wrinkles and have pale, pasty skin so often use products to try and improve my appearance.I’ve used this product as directed, introducing it over three weeks. There was some minor irritation and I definitely had dry skin after the first few uses, but this resolved itself after the first two weeks. It’s tempting to use more of the product, but worth sticking to the regime. Combining/following with a moisturiser at the time of application helped.Overall I’ve been impressed. There are definite, noticeable improvement to the fine lines around my eyes and forehead. Skin looks fresher, smoother and very clear. Multiple people have commented that I look ‘well’ and my partner in particular had noticed the texture of my skin around the cheeks is softer and smoother.I imagine if you stopped using this, the effect would go away and I know it’s a fairly superficial improvement, but for a high street product it’s really good and I’ve spent way more before on products with no visible effect. Delighted and will stick with it.Watch the price- it’s often half price either in Boots or on Amazon. If you can afford to buy a couple and keep them to avoid paying full whack, I’d say that’s worth it.

Why did you choose this product over others?:It glides on well, smells nice, but unfortunately I've had a bad reaction to it. I woke up the following morning with my skin very much flared up. It's sore, extremely itchy, especially around my neck and it looks red and inflamed. I'm taking antihistamines to try to relieve the itching. I used this product two days in a row. If I ever consider using it again, maybe I should only use it once a week to build up tolerance to it as I usually never have sensitive skin and can tolerate all lotions on my face. At present I can't wait for my skin to heal...

My skin, luckily, has always been fine - just the normal fine lines/ uneven skin tone that comes to us all! But at 51 I noticed my neck having less elasticity/ firmness and I am quite lazy with complex routines so wanted something hassle free for that.I bought this and only a few days in already feel and see and difference in my neck and face. They feel/ look tighter, fuller and smoother to me.Some reviews say it burns and it does feel warm on my skin for the first 10 mins but I feel like that is it working and there are no visible signs of any burning etc. However, this might not be the same for everyone.The dispensing cap is genius too. Easy to pop on before you go to sleep as no mess! Been on and bought another 2 tubs as price so good just now.

Ok this product can really burn in a way the others don't. Be warned. Use sparingly at first. That's a good sign to me though. I had never used a product with niacin in as well and had high hopes about it after hearing about it as another vitamin with positive effects on skin. But, although it doesn't have niacin in it, I still think Olay's Retinol 24 does a better job on forehead wrinkles. I wonder if the retinol in this L'Oreal product is not as potent or active, but it's very hard hitting with the niacin.
