Life-changing garage upgrade - wish I'd bought this sooner!
This little device has completely transformed how I interact with my garage door, and I can't believe I waited so long to make this purchase. For less than $30, I turned my "dumb" garage door opener into a smart home centerpiece.Installation was a breeze:I was dreading a complicated setup, but the myQ app walks you through every single step with clear instructions and even helpful videos. From start to finish, it took me maybe 20 minutes - and I'm not particularly tech-savvy! The Bluetooth pairing happened instantly, and connecting to my WiFi was seamless.Works flawlessly with my older opener:I have a 2015 LiftMaster, and despite some compatibility concerns I read about, this worked perfectly right out of the box. The hub connected to my opener in about 30 seconds, and the door sensor was easy to mount. The peace of mind is incredible:No more lying in bed wondering "Did I close the garage?" or driving halfway to work and turning around to check. I get real-time notifications when the door opens or closes, and I can check the status anytime from anywhere. This feature alone makes it worth every penny.Remote control is fantastic:Being able to open the garage for deliveries, let in service people, or close it when I'm already upstairs is so convenient. The app is responsive and reliable - I've never had it fail to work when I needed it.Amazon Key integration is a bonus:I was skeptical about in-garage delivery, but it's actually great for expensive packages. Amazon delivers right into my garage and sends me a photo confirmation. Feels much safer than leaving packages on the porch.Family sharing works perfectly:Added my spouse and kids to the app easily. Everyone can control and monitor the garage, which is especially useful when the teenagers forget to close it (which happens more than I'd like to admit!).Bottom line:This is one of those rare purchases that exceeds expectations. It's affordable, easy to install, reliable, and genuinely useful every single day. If you're on the fence about getting one, just do it - you won't regret it!

Works like a charm
Our garage opener supposedly has wifi connection built in but by the time I tried to connect it, Chamberlain had retired that version so it doesn't work directly. Got this to see if it would work and it's awesome. Easy to install, easy to connect to the opener and to wifi. You need the MyQ app (yeah, ANOTHER app you have to have) but it's actually extremely reliable. I have an iPhone and have had no issues with connectivity or responsiveness with this device.I like it because I get notifications on my phone when the garage opens or closes for when I'm not home and I can monitor the family comings and goings to make sure the house is secure. I can also remotely open or close the garage from anywhere - whether I'm at home or away. I especially like that feature so that if I need to open the house for anyone or if we forgot to close the garage I can operate the door from wherever I am. It also gives me the status of the door (open or closed) at any time.Highly recommend as an actual "smart" and useful smart device.

Very Easy Setup / Works Very Well / Highly recommend (using with PDS 800 Motor)
The installation was very simple and straightforward; as I have an 'off-brand' garage door motor, I selected the 'Other' option when asked. During setup, it had me hit the 'learn' button twice, then voila, it opened my garage door. The mounting of the wifi transceiver was a breeze (2 screws included into wooden shelving unit).Very simple App - Open Garage Door or Close Garage Door. Extremely easy to use! I added a Siri Accessibility command, so when approaching the Garage, I can just say 'Activate Garage Door' to my iPhone and the door opens! There is a feature to integrate the Garage into Amazon Prime Garage Delivery, and I did set that up, but not sure I'll use it much (unless I'm having a high value item delivered)!

Easy install and works well. Not compatible with anything else.
I was reading reviews of door opener apps and there were many good reviews of this adapter. In fact, they suggestd getting a MyQ enabled opener. I priced that option. It was $900+. Instead I spent $25 on this adapter because I have very good liftmaster openers on both of garager doors.Installation was very easy. You have to use the app. If you don't want to use an app, don't get a MyQ device because the only benefit of MyQ is app compatability. The app walks you through the installation. There were no problems other than our garage has one outlet and it is inconvenient. So, I ran an extension cord to it. After install, the app and device work seamlessly. I was able to get everyone invited. For ease there, we used our existing gmail accounts to sign into the app. Then, logging in doesn't require an extra step because we are already logged into our phones. After install and use, I tested it out. It is slow to close the door because it beeps for a while and then closes the door. Openining is immediate. I had no issues with the network becasue the router is on the opposite side of the wall from the main MyQ hub. If anything, it is too close. After that, I looked into connecting it to Android Auto. It turns out that all of the articles I read are old. MyQ doesn't work with Google Home, Google Assistant, or Android Auto. I couldn't even find a way to open it from the car's interface. It is an independent app. To use it, you have to open the MyQ app on your phone (because there no way to get to it otherwise) and use it. My idea of having a garage door button in Android Auto will have to wait to see if Chamerlain and Google ever decide to play nice with one another.
