10/10
I have always fed my dog the Rachel Ray brand but this time we decided to try a different flavor. He absolutely loved this flavor and eats all of it instead of bits throughout the day! Definitely a little more expensive than the typical flavors but definitely worth the money. Perfect sized bits for him to chew (I have a black lab) and a dark brown color. Great quality!

Good value
My dog was having digestion issues and my assistant suggested this brand because she uses it for her dog. It fixed her digestion issues and you can tell it's real salmon. My husband said it smelled like fish without knowing what kind I bought. There is a strong aroma so keep it in an airtight container, as you should anyway just to keep out rodents and insects. I would give this 5 stars because generally this is more affordable that other similar quality food, but there were two issues. One issue is probably just my dopey picky dog. She loved this initially, but now we have to swap between flavors for her to eat. She's done this most of her life-minus a small period of a little over a year where she ate the same thing which ended with the digestion issues. My dog loves the big rawhides that are sweet potato and chicken they they sell at PetSmart in the light green bags so I thought she would like this. The second reason there's no five star review is that there's no ziplock at the top to close the bag, so you have to find a container to put it in. We really like Blue Wilderness as well (this is the other food we alternate in) and they do have the zipper/seal but they're probably $10 more expensive per large bag.

Bad batch
Our large dog is on rotational feeding because she's a senior with special dietary needs. This was one of her favorite food to eat. However i noticed her not wanting to eat and vomiting food soon after eating (which is very unusual) i thought she had become picky. But my 6ms puppy ran to her sister's bowl and ate a bit of the food. Later that night the puppy complained alot and she had a huge hard belly. Next morning. She was throwing up undigested Rachel ray food. I immediately stopped using it. And i had half a bag left. I called nutrish to make a report of the product and the health consequences my dogs had. They couldn't offer any money resolution just a replacement. And since i didn't want to use the product anymore and risk more health problems for my doggies. I contacted Amazon. They also can't refund or replace. Betty scary and disappointed. I went on to read how this brand of dog food has been under scrutiny for heart problems in dog. Truly heartbroken, something that should be good could've killed my fur babies.

THERE'S SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS FOOD
As a self-proclaimed cat lady, I make sure that my kitties eat the best quality food that the market has to offer. One of the reasons that I fell in love with my boyfriend is because he felt the exact same way about his dog. From his experience and watchful eye (if you know what I mean), he found that Rachel Ray's Zero Grain food line was one of the only types of food that gave his dog a solid break (if you catch my drift). Once things got a little more serious, and I started taking over the grocery shopping, I was appalled when I would go to the store and have to pay $10+ for such a small bag of food.I am a very serious and loyal Amazon shopper, and I felt like it was almost sacrilegious to give in to the grocery store prices. I started searching Amazon for this brand and it very hit or miss for me because I am all about getting the most bang for my buck. After months of begging I tried to steer him towards other brands (including Halo - because who doesn't love and trust everything Ellen Degeneres has to say), and he was right, her stomach never really adjusted (even with the correct procedure on how to change a dogs diet). So back to Nutrish we came! Now my biggest mistake was accidentally buying the Salmon flavor because she ate her food so fast it looked like the bowl had just come out of the dishwasher. By the way - salmon is the most expensive flavor in this line. Our dog is 13 years old and runs around like she's 3 in addition to the fact that she has got to be the sweetest dog you'll ever meet! You can say it's not in the food... but I would have to significantly disagree. So what is the moral to the story you might ask? I guarantee that if you buy your dog the Zero Grain Salmon flavored dog food from Rachel Ray, your dog will never be able to wipe a grin off his or her face. It is 100% worth the cost, worth a try, and worth just knowing that your dog is a little happier each and every time they get to eat it. I mean... it's not like I ALWAYS spoil my dog... only when it counts...and remember was written by a CAT LADY!
