They hold really well. Sewed into a curtain to go over french door to block sun. 3 in top, 3 in bottom. When I want to see out take them down, then put back up for privacy.

Love these magnets! They are really strong and perfect for what I needed.

When my under cabinet lighting started to fail, I went on the hunt for replacements and saw these. Seemed like a good idea- but I've wrestled with them ever since. Don't get me wrong, the lights themselves are great! Ultra thin, multiple lighting options and best of all- you can recharge them. This eliminated dangling, unsightly cords that take up a slot on my heavily used kitchen outlets. So- that said, I mounted them and turned in for the night. In the morning, all 3 were on the counter. I was skeptical about the magnetism plates being strong enough to hold the lights under the cabinets and I was right. So, a reasonable solution was to use stronger magnets. I found some good ones on Amazon that are little bars. People's reviews claimed they were strong enough for small tools, so I got them. Again, I hear the lights popping off the magnets. I was determined. THIS time, I went with my old standby, velcro squares & got a 3 way charging cord while I was at it. 3 days and the lights are illuminating just the way I had expected them to. I attach the charging arm to each (while still mounted!) at bedtime and they're good to go by the A.M.! Overall, I'm pretty happy with these accent lights.

These magnets are VERY powerful. If you need a magnet that actually holds then these will do it! HOWEVER…. You need to know that they are really hard to get apart. It can be done by following the directions in the product information. But the worst thing is that they break extremely easily. Sometimes when they snap back together they will break. If they fall on a hard surface they will break. Half of the magnets in my order have broken. I thought it was odd when they arrived and a few were broken but when I took them off a project and they started jumping back together and cracking apart…. Then I realized they were EXTREMELY FRAGILE!So… the power is awesome! But beware that you could end up with lots of broken pieces and you should plan accordingly.
