One Way to Stick it Elsewhere
I like this sponge holder. The brushed nickel fits well with my other brushed nickel and stainless steel. And the sink stopper spot is just what I want. The suction cups did stick like glue to both my stainless steel sinks and to the splash guard of my quartz countertop. But where I really wanted the holder was on the side of my microwave, out of the way of my cleaning and drying of countertop and sinks, as in pic 1 (or wherever Amazon put the picture I uploaded first) Unfortunately, the suction cups slid down the painted metal of my microwave after just a few minutes. Now I did not want to use the provided adhesive hooks because of all the horror stories of reviewers spending hours with heat guns, goo-gone, and silicone scrapers to get rid of the glue left when they wanted to move or remove the sponge holder for some reason. So I headed down to the Lowe's next to my supermarket to find suitable 3M "Command" hooks. These can be easily removed without damage from most surfaces. Among the available choices, I settled for 17006CLR-ES at $4.48. See pic 2. The 4 top hooks carry the holder. The two bottom hooks are upside down and prevent me from accidentally lifting the holder out of the top hooks. (If you want to avoid the need for bottom hooks, you could look at 17017CLR-AWES, which might offer a bit of protection against lifting the holder out of the hooks. It would not prevent rotating the holder around the top hooks, however.)As to how I did it, pic 3 shows the four top hooks already installed, with the horizontal pencil line and position markers I used to put them into position already partially erased. To get the two reversed bottom hooks in the correct positions, I put them in their correct position in the holder, holding them into place with bits of masking tape as in pic 4. Then I placed the holder in the four top hooks, with the glue on the bottom hooks already exposed, and then rotated the holder down until the exposed glue hit the microwave *evenly*. Here I made a mistake: I should have put the glue strips on the bottom hooks reversed, so that their removal tabs stick down instead of up when installed. No big deal; I can easily detach a bottom hook from the microwave with some brute force if needed. But if you want to do this on a painted or wall-papered wall, make sure the removal tabs stick *down*. Otherwise damage-free removal might be difficult. All in all, maybe a bit tricky, but nothing big for an amateur with a bit of experience in these things like me.

Works well
So glad I bought this. My old one was getting pretty gross, so I replaced it with this one. The suction cups appear to be strong and don’t slip. It holds my sponge and scrub brush at just the right height. I mounted it across from the faucet, and you can’t see it unless you are very close by. I also like the open design. It facilitates faster drying and doesn’t collect small particles. Highly recommend.

Functions well, but has some drawbacks
Because of reviews by previous buyers, I used the suction cups to install this. So far, they are holding well. There are two things that are less than ideal. First, the hook to hold the drain plug is too close to the side of the sink once the basket is installed. This makes the drain plug repeatedly fall off. I have taken to storing it where a scrub brush is meant to hang. Second, while the bar on which to hang the dishrag was one of the main reasons I bought this, it is, unfortunately, narrower than most standard dishrags preventing the dishrag from hanging smoothly so that it dries quickly. Other then these two issues, I find this holder better than what I was previously using.

Works great!
Very happy with this purchase. The adhesive works great and it does not fall off! Much better than the suction cups. Both are included for you to choose.

Great sink caddy!
This is the best sponge caddy that I've found in years! It's spacious enough to hold all the things we hold for doing the dishes and since it attaches to the tile wall, I can wipe underneath it to keep the whole area clean and neat. No mess on my granite counter! I think it's a great value for the money.

Almost impossible to remove!
This item did stay affixed to my sink but when I tried to remove it, it was almost impossible to remove. Ir took 30 minutes using a razor blade and hot water. Fortunately it did not damage my sink.

Adjustable for in or out of sink
Love you can adjust it to sit on rim of sink or down in sink. Sitting on rim water drains without a mess in the sink.

Handy basket
Handy little basket, compact size doesn’t take up too much space in sink area. I’m pleased with it, price is reasonable as well.
