Not having a new unused original battery I cannot compare Kastar longevity and battery life against the Genuine Canon, however this battery does provide adequate battery life and good value.There were no issues in size, shape or fit of the battery.Interesting to note is that my family still uses four (4) PowerShot cameras when optical zoom is needed (phones that we have, or want, or can afford and probably 99% of phones in general at the time of writing do not include optical zoom, only digital zoom). We have the original Canon batteries and they work decent still. However extra batteries are always good to have as the times we use our PowerShot cameras are few and far between and the batteries deplete their charge just sitting in the camera.A highly rated off brand of batteries I purchased when I bought the cameras have now bulged and no longer physically fit into the camera body. After having a difficult time getting a bulging battery out once, we always do our best to store the camera with the original Canon battery. I wonder if these batteries will suffer the same fate? Only time will tell.Many PowerShot cameras featured a revolutionary energy efficient Backlit CMOS sensor that captured more light at higher resolution with higher chip yields (less bad sensor chips) as compared to standard CMOS. CCD sensors were and are still the go to for cheap and small sensors, but use more energy and create pictures with more noise ang grain. This translated into higher quality pictures and longer battery life at only a slightly higher cost as compared to CCD sensor cameras. These Backlit CMOS cameras are still quite good, outperforming the microscopic sensors (and often CCD) in many smart phones. There is still a huge following of Backlit CMOS sensor point and shoot cameras. As such batteries like these will continue to provide a use to those users that want them.

I need some replacement batteries for my old Cannon PowerShot and these were a perfect match. Charged them up and they work perfectly. Just as much battery life as my original batteries - 100% compatible. Very happy with this purchase.

The Kastar NB-4L Battery 2-Pack Replacement for Canon PowerShot was just what I needed for my Canon SD750. I hadn't used it for several years and decided to try it again. I didn't want to spend alot on a battery and found this inexpensive battery set. It charged right up and works great. It e.ven came with a spare that will be nice when I take my Alaskan Cruise.

Because old batteries take time to recover their usefulness I had the initial impression that what was shipped to me were defective batteries but when I communicated with the seller not only was I provided with the proper education that several cycles of charge and discharge are required to restore proper functioning of batteries which have been on the shelf unused for quite some time but also the seller provided tested batteries which proved to be quite good in their performance so I am a happy customer and I have nothing ill to report

These work fine with my early 2000’s canon powershot elph digital camera and charger.

I bought this to replace some old old Canon and a third party battery for my little Powershot 200 that still takes great pics after a dozen or so years of service. The battery charged well and has so far performed as expected. And the price was right for two batteries, too.

It works but not as good as the original Canon Battery. Guess you get what you pay for. It good for about 50 to 75 pictures and then it needs recharged again. That is about what my 15 year old original battery does. I'm glad I got the 2 pack. I'll always take the extra one with me because the charge doesn't last that long.

Purchased these a few years ago and these are just replacements. The last batteries lived about 3 years with probably less than average use. However, I'm fine with that and the price for 2 was very reasonable.
