Well made Aluminum miter box, 45 and 90 degrees.
I’ve owned Zona products before and find them excellent quality for hobby model or small woodworking tasks. This miter box will handle 3/4” thick by 1-3/4”stock easily. The slots are straight and perpendicular to the base so I get a clean cut every time using my Japanese pull saws. Slots will take my Japanese saw blade that’s .02mm in size. Highly recommend this miter box for when you need a precise cut. Because it is aluminum you needn’t worry about damaging your saw teeth. Funny how in the description it says stainless steel and corded electric. Chock that up to marketing ignorance. A great tool for 90degree and left or right 45degree cuts.

Just a simple piece of metal to guide your saw. Machined reasonably well. Useful.

Crap, junk
Crap, junk, garbage. That is what this miter box is. Completely misrepresented on site as to its size and function. It is so tiny as to be absolutely worthless for serious house/home repairs and construction. The most it could possibly be of use for is to build models or toys. DO NOT IN ANY FASHION RECOMMEND THIS ITEM FOR PURCHASE. Sell it for aluminum scrap.

Five Stars
Works great for small projects. Make sure you put a piece of Lynnwood and the bottom.

Note these actual measured dimensions!
So-so reviews may be due to folks not paying close attention to the dimensions. This is a mini-miter box for hobby use on soft woods, not a hardware-store miter box for construction! Here are the advertised dimensions and manufacturer recommendations, plus some of my own measurements and observations:Cutting angles: 90 degrees, 45 degrees0.031" (0.78mm) wide saw guide slots - The manufacturer, Zona Tool Co., recommends medium or thick kerf *razor* saws or mini hack saws, and lists Zona part numbers 35-650, 35-680, 35-600, 35-300, and 35-350 as recommended saws.I have a mini-hacksaw with a 6" blade that at first appears to fit it perfectly. The blade on that saw is about 0.025" wide, but wavers higher and lower due to the set of the blade. Unfortunately, it gets bound up on the slots and chews up the aluminium! See below for more details. Note that my mini hacksaw is not a Zona brand saw, rather it is from a "big box" store. I did use a new blade just to be sure.5.5" overall length - confirmed.Holds materials up to 1.75" wide - confirmed.3/4" cutting depth - Maybe, if you have a steady hand. The whole thing is 3/4" high (inside diameter) so if you want the saw to be guided right at the start of the cut, don't use it with materials any higher than 5/8".There is a 1/8" lip on the bottom that might help hold it in place. There is a 3/16" hole on the side with the lip, maybe it could be used to secure it to something. The ridges on the bottom are 1/16" deep. The cutting depth measurement of 3/4" is taken from the top of the ridges. The entire thing is made of 1/8" thick aluminium.I tried using it to cut a 1/2" pine square dowel, but it was pretty much unusable with the hacksaw I have. I couldn't get more than halfway through the cut. The blade kept binding up and chewing up the aluminium slot.Maybe it requires a Zona brand razor saw. Or maybe pine is too much for it, and it's really only suited for balsa. In any case, it's destined to languish at the bottom of my tool bin. Too bad, it seemed so promising for cutting small materials.

the product does what it is supposed to. If you are going to be cutting through something you might want to lay a piece of cardboard in the bottom of the box.

The "lip" for clamping is almost non existent. For arthritic hands and hands of "little crafters" - prefer the lip on the cheap plastic model. Unfortunately, cheap plastic model also enable little crafters to saw through it easier.
