Opis 60s Micro : Retro Phone Handset with USB-C and AUX 3.5mm Plug as a Classic Vintage Telephone Receiver for Cell Mobile Phones (Black)

I just received my Opis Retro Phone Handset for my Samsung Galaxy Cell Phone. It is just as pictured & as I remembergrowing up (75yo). Very Retro (red). Started using it right out the box. There's nothing to do really. Just plug it in your android port. It works well. The voices are clear both for sender and receiver. I may surprise my sister with one.

I couldn't decide if i would give this a five star or four star review. the handset works as it should. the connectors are good. I have to give kudoos to whomever designed the hand set. Due to the reason for the Kudoos, I have gone with the five star. They were probably of the mind that older people are going to be using this and most older people want something substantial in their hand, not something that feels empty and like lifting a feather, so good for them. For some of us, we do not want something heavy, so i would say the hand set is a bit heavier than i desired. Giving some thought to the hand set, the world and the way things are I had to wonder if the manufacture put some weights in the hand set for no other reason than to make if feel substantial. Guess what???, they did, they put two weights in the handset which i removed. Now the handset lifts like a feather. Kudoos to the manufacture for having the foresight and thought.

When I first used this with the USB, it was wonderful. That lasted about a month. It was just okay using only the jack. Now - a couple months later - it doesn't work at all. Unfortunately, didn't get around to returning it in time. So I'm stuck with it. When I asked the Q&A why it quit working, the answer was that customers didn't like this product for that reason. Gee - thanks, Amazon.

Finally, I can hear people on my cellphone clearly without it being on speaker phone. Using a handset is very intuitive, and this device doesn't require connecting blue tooth. However, sometimes the things people say sound muffled, and I can't understand what they say. It could be they aren't speaking directly into their phone's microphone. They only way to know is if both people use the same handset, I guess. Conversations at multiple businesses sounded pretty well.

My landline phone service was knocked out last night, so I finally decided to try this handset attachment on my cell phone, and it works PERFECTLY! It makes my cell phone feel just like I'm talking on my landline princess phone! I didn't need to use an Opis adapter with it as it plugged directly into the earphones port of my iPhone SE 1st generation. Just be sure if your phone is in a protective case, like an Otterbox or anything, that the plug is all the way in, otherwise it won't work.You may have to really push to get it all the way in properly. So, if you're an old-school landline devotee like me, but the ever increasing cost of owning the only landline phone in town is becoming too much for you, or your landline service is knocked out, this retro handset attachment will ease the pain, seriously. It is the perfect handset weight, too, it feels just like a real landline phone. This handset is well made, a good heavy weight, works great and is adorable.I bought the red one with the black curly cord. I LOVE it and wish I had tried it out when I first bought it, so I could have returned the unneeded adapter that I was advised to buy with it. And I wish someone had gifted it to me, because it would be lovely to thank someone for this very thoughtful attachment for my cell phone. If you hate talking on your cell phone because you prefer a landline handset, this IS the answer!!!

This phone is absolutely adorable and so fun to use. I love the retro look - I miss my teen years of a land line! I did have to get a special adapter for my iPhone, the one that came with the phone didn't work with my older iPhone. But since I got the right two-way "headset" type of adapter, I use this phone ALL of the time. The cord is long enough to set the phone on the counter while I cook dinner or deal with work at my desk - it frees up my hands. I don't like putting people on speaker and having others around hear our conversation. I could use my AirPods, but sometimes the quality for the listener isn't as good. And, like I said, this phone is so awesome. It's heavy and feels good to hold, like a legit phone handset.

Its super huge and really fun to play with. The only issue i had to stop using it cuz i have to take my phone case off just to use. Even with the charger adapter i couldn't recieve any phone calls only could be use for watching movies on your phone. I bought it to actually answer my phone

This handset is a nice smooth plastic, with heft. Especially for older adults, it is much easier to hold than to hold a cellphone. The sound is good. The important thing is to make sure the adaptor is good quality, and is pushed in properly, if the cellphone doesn't have a jack input (newer models do not). I bought this for an 88 year old and I might buy one for myself next. For what it's worth, I had one made of that rubbery material that gets sticky with time, and I hated touching it - but it was more comfortable for long conversations. This new handset is so much better than that one.
