Just came today. Delicious! Truly plum pudding taste I was looking for.
Our family Xmas recipes were mainly from England so plum pudding was always included. I just didn't have time to steam one as I used to this year so bought this instead. It's small compared to the huge pudding I've always made but the taste is excellent and I'm glad I bought it. I'm not much for adding brandy, rum, etc. to either the pudding or to the sauce as so many are so I'll whip up a batch of Creme Anglaise for this beauty and serve it that way. The ingredients are high quality & it's made beautifully. I may have to order another one at this rate. Anyway, as a long time Xmas steamed pudding maker, I can vouch for the good texture and flavor of this pudding and would recommend it. Now....time to make that rich sauce and have a slice. :)

Divine
Walkers Strathspey Rich Fruit Cake — truly the Dowager Countess of desserts. One does not merely nibble this cake, one experiences it, preferably with a sherry in one hand and disdain for lesser puddings in the other. The marzipan topping is as smooth as a Highland lullaby, and the cake itself? Positively brimming with juicy vine fruits and a hint of scandal. Now, I must confess (clutching pearls theatrically) — it was so divine, so utterly scrumptious, I marched straight back and ordered another one… or perhaps several. One cannot, after all, risk a fruitcake famine during times of civilised tea-taking. And might I add, it arrived beautifully boxed, as if it were a Christmas truce offering from the Scottish highlands themselves.Five stars, a standing ovation, and a small curtsy from me. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a slice awaiting its destiny beside a proper cuppa.

Delicious
I love the Walkers shortbread and was excited to try these mincemeat meat pies (BTW there is NO meat in them they have a spiced fruit mix filling, I adding that as my mom was initially shocked when I told her I was going to try them as I am a vegetarian, haha). A couple of the pies in my box had small cracks in the top pastry but I did not take off any stars as know these are not made in the US and I am now totally in love with how they taste, but it would be good if they could come up with some non-plastic protection for them. But the the taste, oh wow, I had intended to heat up one mincemeat pie for dessert as a special treat but opened up the tray and they smelled so amazing I had to try one and then another:) Next time I will heat one first and to try and make sure I do that I stored the uneaten ones in the freezer!

It taste just like my mum used to make it.
The cake and icing are very authentic. The only problem is addictive, I have ordered three. A bit expensive but worth it.

Gingerbread Mince Pied
Not bad but you better like the taste of gingerbread and mince together. I do like the taste but other people in the house felt the taste was overwhelming-All the more for me.I wasn’t crazy about the way the crust tasted but the filling was good. I was curious how they tasted and gave them a try but wouldn’t purchase them again.

Not What I Expected
I've always wanted to try a Fruit Pudding so I spent the $21.99 and ordered it on December 31st. Received it January 4 and was excited to taste it and enjoy this specialty as outlined in the description: "Luxury Christmas pudding: Indulge in a signature take on a holiday classic with Walker’s flavorful plum pudding, thoroughly steamed for that rich moist Christmas pudding taste we all love". I was expecting a sweet Christmas tradition. Upon opening the package, I found a very thick undiscernible very dark conglomeration of something in the shape of a small somewhat flattened dome with no scent of dessert. It was tough to cut into and really didn’t have much of an aroma of anything representing a holiday. Now, mind you I’m not Scottish nor an expert on Fruit Pudding, but this was a new experience. I cut a small sliver of this dessert and sat down to enjoy it. Much to my surprise, it was not at all pleasant. It was tasteless, a little bitter with no visible fruits or a pleasantly sweet dessert. In short, it was thick, tasteless and not palatable at all. I gave it another try the next night and, nope, the same thing. Bottom line is that my garbage disposal enjoyed it more than I did. Since this was an eatable purchase I didn’t think it was returnable. I later found out that in the purchase information indicated that it was.If this is a traditional Christmas dessert and you like Fruit Pudding, this is for you. Not for me.
