Easy to use and great videos.
I own a Wainsview indoor motion sensor camera for my apartment. I have not had any problems with the camera so I chose this Wansview Trail Camera because of the price. It was $69.99 and seems to have many of the settings I wanted. There is a Photo, Video and a combination Photo-Video mode. For the price and the many settings, it is a great deal. The case is very durable for the typical outdoor use. I am hoping the 8 double A batteries will last for the remainder of the winter season. The instructions were easy to follow and it came with mounting gear. I was able to mount it on a sturdy wood pole over looking the yard and the Pacific Ocean. I just got it the other day, same day delivery with Amazon. I purchased a 32 MB SD card and the batteries at a local Target. I was able to pick it up the camera from the locker in the afternoon and able to mount it that evening. This evening I was able to see what pictures and videos the SD Card contains. The night video has a good black and white quality. This time around the sensitivity motion sensor has set on high. The pictures and the video quality is very high.Im happy with the purchase. I will be changing the motion sensor to low and set it up again. I am very excited and happy with my purchase.

Absolute Junk!
I have had issues with this trail cam almost immediately after receiving it.Issue #1: My camera will not detect motion reliably. I can walk 15 feet in front of the camera, clearly be in view for 10 seconds or more while flailing my arms like an idiot, and still not trip the camera 30% of the time.Issue #2: After several failed attempts to get the camera to record video properly, I gave up and set it to record a picture every 90 seconds. This worked for an hour or 2 then it just stopped taking pictures and corrupted the last few. This issue has also occurred during video. The micro sd card will be no where near full and the camera stops recording and just sits there. I have tried multiple micro sd cards with the same resultsIssue #3: Video playback speed on the viewer is 2x video speed but the time counter is at 1x. Videos are also routinely corrupted / unplayable.Issue #4: On the rare occasion that the camera functions correctly in motion detecting video mode, I leave it to run for a few days in the woods. When I visit the camera and review the videos, I then leave any files on the card, and return the camera to the ON mode and close it back up. The camera has NEVER recorded a video or picture after being put back in ON mode. The only method I have found to get it to work somewhat is to delete all videos/pictures, reset all settings to default, and format the micro SD card. This method still only works 40-50% of the timeAfter dealing with a useless camera for a month or so, I contacted tech support and was given a new firmware file to try. I tried it out a few times and it appeared to fix most of the issues. I put some fresh batteries in it and set it out in the woods to start scouting for deer season. I went out and checked the camera last weekend and not only did the firmware update not fix any of the issues, playback on the camera screen is completely corrupted and will no longer play videos or view pictures. I walk the path the camera was situated on a couple times a week and not once was the camera triggered. I have driven my 4 wheeler past the camera dozens of times and only once was the camera tripped. There are fresh deer tracks everywhere in front of the camera (all within 15'-45') and the only motion the camera tripped on was a doe literally licking the camera. This is with the sensitivity turned all the way up with side motion sensors on.Archery season starts in 11 days and after setting up a camera on a heavily trafficked path for more than a month, I have a video of me on a 4 wheeler and a doe licking the camera. Thanks Wansview! Should have spent a few more dollars and bought American.

Pretty good camera for the price.
The media could not be loaded. Not great, but great for the price. So far (a couple months), works well for my needs. I mainly want to catch the cougar, wolf and bear that are coming around, and occasionally I use it for security. Seems waterproof or water resistant enough. Can't complain about night shots or resolution. Nothing like my Canon DSLR, but about what I expected, and not bad. Battery life is good. You can use 4 or 8 batteries. Support seems okay. They got back to me in about a week.Several issues. 2 concern me, but not enough to return the camera, like I did with the first camera I tried (different brand, same price):1. Trigger speed is advertised as 0.2, and it's actually about 2.8 (using class 10 card and new batteries). Unfortunate for me, as one of my projects requires that advertised speed. Otherwise, the worst that happens is when something runs past the camera, it's almost out of frame before you get to see it for 1 second. The first camera I tried had an advertised trigger speed of 0.6, and the actual time was 6.0.2. It takes pictures. It shoots video. It just doesn't do both during one triggering event, as advertised. Photo/Video mode produces jumbled up psychedelic pictures and no video.

ARE THE FIVE STARS RATINGS FOR REAL?
After reading all these "rave reviews" last June of 2019, I based my decision to buy this trailcam. The photos are good the video is good, but this Wansview trail cam of mine has several issues1. The latch on the side broke off. I rarely use this and may have opened a dozen times. It leaves a slight gap enough for water to get in2. The plastic covers for all the senors are peeling/coming off. This unit was outside for only 2 weeks, out of the sun and strapped to a tree.3. While I am making changes on settings or just viewing on the screen, it makes a clicking sound, not like a change of selection these are rapid clicking sounds that it did not do when I first used it. "something wrong somewhere"4. The selection buttons for setup is impossible to see. I have to use a LED magnifying lens to see what button does what. Not user friendly design5. Where the Micro-SD card is inserted is hard to get in and I have to use tweezers to get it out. Seriously?6. I set video for 20 seconds, it stops at 8 seconds, then freezes."for now" great videos, great pictures, but don't count on this lasting long term. From what I gather of my personal experience; You'll be lucky to get 2 years use from this unit, needs better quality and a little more concentration of setup and user friendly
