Cigarette lighter socket with connectors,and opening cap - nickel plated socket outer shell. Other sockets do not have the rust proof nickel plated socket. This listing is for one lighter socket for accessory or hot lighter use. The socket is for 12 volt use up to 20 amps. All Parts are weather resistant and high quality. The assembly consists of a core socket that is nickel plated and has a ceramic insulator with copper/brass contacts. The outer insulating shell is also nickel plated and screws onto the inner socket. The assembly comes with two female 0.250 crimp connectors and a vinyl opening cap that seals the opening. I install all manner of 12 volt items into cars ...
I install all manner of 12 volt items into cars and trucks, and lately many battery poweredcar/personal tracking systems. These systems tend to only come with a micro mini plugwith a standard USB plug wire to charge it when the batteries get low. I solved thisissue using these aux plugs.Locate the existing cigarette lighter that came in thevehicle and dislodge it from it's location, exposing thewires going to it. Test for power and ground on those wires.Take a t tap connector and then tap both the hot lead andthe ground wires.then put this device shown in to share thepower and ground.Take a USB adapter plug and slide intothe new cigarette light port and connect the wiring to the tabson the device (hot in the middle ground on the casing)Then it's live.Lastly, take the micro mini plug and put one into theGPS unit and the other into new port..Black tape off for safety and tuck theusb wire under the dash. Done and hidden.Works very well. Always powered. ;)

Replacement lighter
Use it to replace my cigarette lighter outlet socket on my Honda accord. You will not be able to use the Honda plug as this has a different configuration. Just use the two adapters that come with the replacement and you should be fine.
