I suggest that you watch a video on YouTube before sharpening on these stones.Submerge the stone in water for 10-15 minutes before sharpening the knife.Glide it in proper in proper motion at 15degrees angle, all the while resting two fingers on it.This stone moves while sharpening as it is not protected by a non-friction case, so keep it tight against a wall else the blade of your knife can get spoilt.Use the coarse side first and then the fine side. This stone has a pretty fine side and a medium coarse side which I think is perfect for home use.My knives are generally honed on a daily basis so I don’t need to sharpen much but every knife needs sharpening however good the quality, on a regular basis.After sharpening I wash the knife and hone it using a wand. Doing this regularly keeps my knives in top condition. I hone daily before use but sharpen only once in a fortnight or as needed.Stone is built well. Some chip easily but this one seems sturdy. I prefer to use water as a lubricant. You can dry sharpen as well but that generates heat and I feel it may spoil the edge.Only con is that it does not have a case to keep it from moving. Otherwise it is a good buy.

Received this product yesterday. Brand name inscription on one side of the stone dint pause any issues to me. Its not carved that deep. I feel its a good product. I handle it with good care. Packing was very good. So there was no damage on the product.

The item is good but the packaging is absolutely not suited and adequate for such a brittle item. Ordered it twice and on both occasions the item was broken in pieces in the packaging.

Its quality is good.

Good thing to keep in kitchen if you are a knife user

Very useful but be careful while using it its it eats up the metal

Item received first time was damaged but replacement was very promt. Used as per instruction and got good result with my kitchen knife. I have power tool to sharpen knifes but this is better tool but need little bit of practice.

Worst product. Received in broken condition. Return also not initiated by Amazon
