School Smart Plastic 180 Degree Protractor with 4 inch Ruler, Clear, Pack of 12

These tiny 4" protractors are perfect for my kids and their math problems. Because they are smaller, the protractors fit the angles better and angle measurements are easier to read than larger protractors. With larger 6" protractors, kids have to draw extensions to the angles on the math page so that the angle sides reach the markings on the protractor. These tiny 4" protractors are much easier for kids to read. They also fit nicely in pencil cases, etc. I am glad there 12 though, because they are small and clear and hard to see/find if you misplace them. I had looked in lots of local stores (Target, Walmart, Staples, school supply stores) to find extra small protractors and couldn't. It was worth the price to order extra (12) even though I thought I only needed one or two. As a homeschool teacher, I am very pleased with the protractors and grateful for the good price.

I bought these for my 5th grade classroom and they do exactly what a protractor should do. They are easy to use and straight forward, and most importantly for me, inexpensive. The 4" size is great, sometimes the kids have difficulty with larger protractors. I would definitely recommend for your classroom.

This is the superior protractor for young learners of geometry (I teach in the middle school setting), and is much more suitable for working on small images of angles in worksheets and textbooks than the larger protractors. The dual rulers are essential for creations of polygons meeting dimensional specifications. I keep one of these in my home workspace for creating my own assessments and work projects.

Too small and too expensive (((

I had a set of class protractors, but the class set was too big. The bigger sized protractor made it almost impossible to measure degrees of angles in books. This sized protractor is perfect! Fits nicely in a pencil bag and is easy to use in the book. Although this is a small protractor the numbers are clear and big enough to read with great accuracy. I have found also that these protractors are not breaking as easily, part of the reason I believe is that these protractors are not being pressed in books to get the measurement of an angle.

One of the protractors was misprinted and couldn't be used, they work fine for my students though. The usual 6" protractors are too large to measure angles on a sheet of paper. These 4" rulers do the trick. For the price I was able to buy enough and extra for my largest classes and even if a few walk away I can quickly buy more. They are thin and probably won't last a second school year but I would buy them again as most manipulatives like these rarely survive longer than 9 months.

These are about as durable as any other plastic protractor. Kids have to be careful with them as they break with little effort.These protractors would be fine for students fifth grade and up, but are not ideal for grades lower than that.Nine-ten year olds who are just learning how to measure angles using full circle and half circle protractors will have difficulty using these simply because the vertex and angular base are not at the very bottom of the tool. There's a ruler there instead which is an unnecessary feature for students at that age. Sturdy, practical protractors. Great to have a box of these little guys since they can be misplaced (or overlooked since they're small and clear -- setting them down on a black, unlit surface can have you thinking they've vanished). Easy to read angle measurements, too. The plastic scratches fairly easily but not terribly.
