Sega Genesis Classics - Nintendo Switch

This is a great collection of classic games and is well worth the price. I will say, playing with joycon in the grip feels snappier than playing with the pro controller. It seems weird but the weird separated D-Pad on the joycon and the smaller buttons seem to reduce whatever input lag most people are noticing. The pro controllers buttons are bigger and mushier and I think that's what most people are noticing as input lag, that is, if that's the controller they are using. I think I'll end up getting a classic 8bitdo controller specifically for this game because their D-Pads are better than both of the above mentioned controllers. Overall, this is a great package for less than $30, the games run well and there is something here for everyone. The rewind, save states, and challenges bring this into the modern age and I suggest it for anyone looking for a physical copy of some of the best classic Sega has to offer. UPDATE: I bought a SF30 Pro from 8Bitdo and it's amazing to play these games with and feels so much better, highly recommend.

Sega Genesis was the first gaming system that I ever got- so I have a soft spot in my heart for these old crusty games. Luckily- this collection has some of the best games on the console. I just beat Shining Force for the first time in over a decade, and let me say that the fast forward and rewind feature is a LIFE SAVER (literally). Also used that feature to get all chaos emeralds in sonic 2- by the second stage (never did that before) totally AWESOME! Worth the price of the game just for that feature. The only downside is that there is no Sonic 3- knuckles… whatever lol…. I hope Sega will release a “Dreamcast collection” someday.

To be honest, I could play all these games on my raspberry pi; but the fact that I can have them on my switch; and in a single card, is the main reason for me to get this collection.There are a lot of classig megadrive/genesis games; most of them are the best games made for the console; and beside few missing titles that I would love to see on the console (like some more fighting and driving games; in lieu of the many phantasy stars ); but overall the collection is very well balanced.The graphic is 1:1 with the original; and you can enhance it if you like, using filters; also you have the chance to save states for each game (up to 3), so you can just save the game at any time and continue again from that point; the beauty of playing old games on a modern console.It is mostly aimed at old owner of the console; since most of the games are not really holding up to modern games; although with the explosion of retro games and metroidvania pixellated games, you can almost sell these games as new.Get it if you do not have a raspberry pi or another console that can play emulated games; otherwise it is up to you to decide if these old games are worth 29 dollars.

After spending so much time playing this now I got to say THIS is the COOLEST way I have ever seen sega games be able to be played.In this game it gives you a virtual reality style bedroom with a real time clock with a real time day / night cycle syncd to your irl Nintendo switches clock and you can modify it if you want and it gives you a old school box tv you can customize in your virtual bedroom.I personally see this as a dream come true if you are a big sega fan like me.I hope the trend of bringing back our childhood games continues cause this is awsome!!!Qn DEFINITELY the right track for gaming in my opinion.If you buy this you will definitely not regret it.Its beyond 5 stars for me!!!😎👌👌👌🤙👍👍👍

I’m an 80s Sega guy who loved this system. Not all of these games should be on here. I’d replace at least half of them if I could. Having shining force 1 and 2 by themselves are enough to make this set worth it though. Decap plays well and so do the streets of rage games. I played through 1&2 of SOR with my 8 year old son and we had a blast.I’ve even been able to successfully enter some of the old cheat codes for a few of these games. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who just wants something fun or for nostalgia or really just whatever reason you had in mind when you started looking.

This is the ultimate way to play Sega Genesis Classic games.The game's front end menu is perfect. It's almost as if you've gone back in time to the 80s/90s and are plugging the game into your Sega Genesis. The game is full of options and settings that you can adjust to your liking like the aspect ratio, you can play the games in original 4:3 or you can stretch it to widescreen. You can put filters over the video to mimic an old CRT TV, or you can sharpen the pixels to give it a more HD-ified look. I love this game and the collection of games is perfect. I especially recommend Shining Force 1 and 2 if you haven't played them. They are absolute hidden gems. Buy this game for your collection or to relive the classics!

A lot of boring filler games that I'll only play once for a couple minutes. But it does have the first 3 streets of rage, Vectorman 1 & 2, All 3 golden axe and a good chunk of the sonic collection still worth the money.
