Great for adapting 16VAC doorbell voltage to 12VDC LED lighting.
I used this to power an LED street number sign off of doorbell voltage. Fortunately, the doorbell cable was three-wire. I had to hole saw the exterior wall to find the wire, and the converter fit into the resulting hole (which was ultimately covered by the sign).

Perfect for electric gates
This item is small, about the size of three oxo cubes. I used it to convert 24vac in a BFT Thalia gate control system into 12vdc for a cellular interface module to remotely open the gates.Worked perfectly and highly recommended for space limited applications. Could probably make it even more compact by removing the plastic casing and adhering directly to the enclosure with hot melt glue.Two sets of simple terminals; non polarity conscious AC terminals and marked DC polarity terminals.
