High Quality

High quality product that is very easy to apply and looks great on all wood varieties. Very consistently absorbed for all types of wood used so far. Absorbed quickly and evenly with no speed, low odor and final finish looks great. would recommend.

Oily and Great

This stuff is better than straight mineral oil. I was gifted a high end board and knifes, and after 2 coats, the board looks amazing and so far nothing as soaked into it that a little warm water and soap can't take care of. I'm thinking a coat every three months just to freshen it up and this bottle will last a year at least.

Great for your wood!

I have several nice cutting boards I use Walrus oil on. I originally found them on instagram and purchased it several years ago. This stuff goes a long way. I just recently ran out and replaced it. It does a great job of protecting your wood cutting boards and giving them a nice deep color. Easy to apply just put a few drops down and buff it in with a rag and let it sit over night.

Good for Price, 8 oz. Not Enough for Big Board

I bought this for the good reviews and the price. It's really nothing special but food grade mineral oil, coconut oil, etc. But 8 ozs. was not enough for my 16x20 inch new birch cutting board. The results were OK, no real complaints. But I still need to do a second coating to get the board properly oiled to satisfy me.One thing I'm glad I learned - contrary to the directions to apply a coating then wipe off excess in 12-24 hours. Actually, the best thing to do for a new or clean but very dry cutting board is to apply a good coat or layer of oil with a small cheap 2-inch paint brush (Walmart for $1.00). But then put paper towels down over the wet board. The reason for this is that it helps the oil to penetrate better. It took me a bit over 3 days to get both sides of this birch board & most retail store boards are yellow birch.Birch is a wood with dense pores and if the board is new or clean but very dry it will take longer for the board to get properly saturated with the oil to truly protect it. Even after I rubbed the excess from the paper towels into the wood when removing them, it still took another day to dry enough for use.Last, although not in the instructions, if you have a used board that needs to be oiled, DO NOT use hot water & soap to clean it off first before oiling it. Use COLD WATER & soap ONLY to clean wood boards. Using hot water actually opens the pores and allows stains to penetrate into the wood. Hot water and soap will also remove the oil from the wood, whereas cold water & mild soap will not. I'd stay away from dish soap since most have ingredients designed to break down oily residue from pots and pans. When you clean your board off use only cold water & mild soap. Hope this help you all.

My favorite to keep my wood cutting board looking new

Keeps my wood cutting block looking brand new.I use this twice a month on my wood cutting board. The cutting board soaks this up really well I use a decent amount and spread it out as evenly as possible and then let the board sit overnight. I then go over it and seal the oil in with a food safe made for cutting board wax.I kove how easy this is to apply. It has a thin consistency so it makes spreading it easy and the cutting board soaks it up easier so after letting it sit overnight the board is oiled well and dry enough to add a wax over top.Noticed my cutring board repels water for a lot longer with this oil on it.No smell that I've noticed, just a clean natural scent. Nothing over powering.Lasts a long time (have gone 2 months forgetting to oil my cutting board and this was still holding up and keeping the board looking new)I use this on some other wood kitchen bowls and serving trays and it really brought the wood back to life and made me less nervouse having to wash them since I know this oil is very protective.

No smell and food grade

I make boxes for gifts and using Walrus Oil means kids, adults and elderly can use the boxes without worry. The oil soaks in fairly quickly and does not have a residual smell. It brings out the beauty of the wood.

Easy to use

Very easy to use just pour and spread out. Dries quickly and doesn’t smell at all. Not oily like you would think and holds up well.
