I have a herniated disc in my neck so, over time, as part of my physical therapy, I learned to create a pillow that cradled my head and held it in place. I purchased a memory foam pillow that allowed me to remove part of the foam and create a contoured area in the middle to support my head and neck. There was only one recurrent problem - heat. I usually begin sleep on my side and end up on my back come morning. I found myself waking up many times during the night with discomfort in my ear due to a lack of air circulation and heating of my ear canal.So, I wondered: is there a product that would provide exactly the support I needed but also allowed cooling and air circulation around my ear when sleeping on my side. I decided to take a chance on this product. My first impressions were that it was too small (not wide enough) and too firm (I was used to a very soft memory foam pillow). But, I realized I needed to give this more than one night's sleep for proper testing. That made all the difference. This pillow is designed with a small hole in the middle that promotes air circulation that works perfectly. I now have no heat related issues and I am not waking up multiple times during the night. As for the firmness: I find that as I fall asleep my head does settle in nicely but not without sacrificing the contours that hold my head and neck in the correct positions. This is truly a good fit for my head and neck. As you can see in the product pictures, it also accommodates arm and shoulder placement for side sleepers.Did I mention that it is cool? Yep. No overheating issues and great support. Now, I am totally satisfied with the product. I am very pleased with the head and neck support and the price was right as well. There has been no issue with any chemical smells. I was able to use this right out of the box after it arrived. The cover zips off easily as well so machine washing should be straight forward.

This pillow is the best thing ever. 1st time in a long time I fell asleep fast after my head hit the pillow. It fit my head like a glove. The most comfortable sleep in ages. The shape is complimentary to my head and arms

I really like this pillow. It’s very comfortable and I don’t use other pillows anymore other than for elevation. It does support my neck, but it’s a better pillow if you’re a person who sleeps on their back. Not so good for side sleepers, but not terrible either. It hasn’t eliminated my shoulder and neck pain, but it is helpful. I like that it has a cover I can remove and wash.Also, you should note that there’s a taller ridge on top to support your head. There’s a dip at the bottom where your neck goes. You just have to remember not to lay your neck at the top versus bottom.
