M4 MacBook Pro, connected and recognized 4K@60, 2K@165, and 1080P@75 without fail.
Works on M4 MacBook Pro like a charm. Using on an older HP monitor with 75Hz mode and it recognizes and it open or closed, and the quality is great. It's easy to use as it clicks in and out with a solid, sturdy feel and is more than long enough for my needs. It is compatible with this HP and my 4K TV, however, other than using the 4K size and basic 60Hz limit of my television, I can't vouch for blur or anything, as I had to walk into the living room to ensure 4K@60 was in fact met. I did not have time or care to test the fluidity on the 4K since I use an ultra-wide at 2K@165Hz and this old HP (I gave my wife the ultra-wide for work, I'll get another one later, have some other things to pay off first). Luckily this cord is fantastic and I'm not complaining at all. Having it pair to three separate devices and initialize immediately is great.Note: I don't know if this is a limitation on the MacBook, or the cables themselves to some degree, but when I close or open my MacBook using the Thunderbolt5-DP cable, it flashes no matter which I do, but, with this cable, when I close or open while displaying content, no flash. It works continuously, no issues or flickering. So I don't know if it's a Thunderbolt/Intel thing or a USB-C advantage? Beats me, but the cable is excellent, across the board. A splendid product. Zero complaints!I would absolutely buy another if the need arises.

Amazing for Work from Home usage
The cable works, I use it for work to connect the laptop through USBC and it works. I would say it is worth the money if you have a job that needs screen real estate. I have seen no degradation in video quality, and it is very easy to use. Just plug it in and it should work if the device supports it

Macbook and Ultra Widescreen? No Problem!
I use this cable with a 49" Samsung G95C widescreen monitor and I get 240 Hz at full screen resolution through it. The monitor does scale down when viewing two systems side by side, but I think that's more of a control feature with the monitor so it can have common ground with displays. I'm connected to a Macbook Pro 15" 2021 M2 system and it works flawlessly.

Tried many other cables, this one works!
I tried 2 other cables before I found this one which works awesome. My issue was on the first cable that the screen would flicker randomly. Second cable had issues with HDR when the screen woke up from sleep. This cable works perfect!!!!

Mac M1 series compatibility issue
I'm using LG 32gs95ue-b Monitor with my Mac Studio M1 Ultra, it can't output 4K 120Hz after custom firmware update, the best it can get is 3006x1692 HiDPI 120Hz, the PPI with it is ~108, which is less than ideal, where I'm used to 3200x1800 on my Studio Display, which is 135 PPI. I have been working with support@cablematters.com and trying to see if there's a solution with it, so far we don't have a solution yet.

Does exactly what it promises.
Works better than a straight HDMI to HDMI connection for me. My laptop has a HDMI 2.1 FRL port, my TV has an HDMI 2.1 port. Even when using an HDMI 2.1 cable. The best I could get when using a HDMI to HDMI was 30hz at 4k. My TV has a 120hz panel. Not sure why 30hz was the limit for HDMI to HDMI, but it wasn't going to do. So I bought this CableMatters USB-C to HDMI cable. My laptop has a USB 4 (type-C) port on it and USB 4 does most of the things that Thunderbolt can do, so I figured it was worth a shot. It works flawlessly. I'm able to get 4k/120Hz without any issues/drama, it just works. Just plug one end to the USB 4 (or TB 3/4 port if you have it), plug the other end to an HDMI 2.1 port, adjust your multi-monitor settings in Windows appropriately and if your TV supports it, you'll get 4k/120 (or better depending on your TV/monitor) as a default option in your display settings. Going HDMI-to HDMI for whatever reason wouldn't get me that. So I'm quite happy with the performance of the cable. This isn't the cheapest cable you're going to come across, but it's easy to use (it's a cable not a particle accelerator), and should work with either Thunderbolt or USB 4 or even older USB standards (with reduced functionality due to slower bandwidth). No complaints here. This cable would be a fine addition to anyone's laptop bag.

Worked for 3 days, waste of money.
I have had good luck with many cables from Cable Matters in the past, but for this one, I'd give 0 stars if I could. I am/was using this as a connection to my sound bar surround system, connected to my PC (MSI MEG x670e ACE, Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 128GB DDR5, Radeon 7900XTX 24GB) as I have 4 monitors connected to my video card. It worked great for about 3 days, recognized my Samsung dolby atmos surround bar system as another monitor, and provided enough throughput for good sound, worked as expected. And then not at all. Nothing changed on my system between when it worked, and when it stopped, no updates, nothing installed, just quit. Got rid of the box it came in after it worked for a couple days, so can't return it now. Waste of $20.

Must have for MacOS
I had a hard time finding a 4k 120hz thunderbolt cable for my MacBook Pro M1 Pro. By default it can only do 4k 60hz with HDR but if you update the cable firmware via the companies Windows(PC or VM) updater, you gain the ability to do 4k 120hz but with no HDR. While I would prefer a 4k 120hz mode with HDR, it’s easy enough to change modes in the system settings so I can watch hdr content at 4k 60hz when my MacBook is plugged into a monitor. As a nice treat, I’m also able to get 4k 120hz through the thunderbolt port on my Anker 778 hub even though it mentions the 4k 60hz is the max allowed connection on their website.
