WWE - Armageddon 2006 [DVD]

In the first two matches MVP gets set on fire and Joey Mercury breaks his nose. Insanely violent with some of the best matches I have ever seen. Undertaker chucked of the stage!!!! INSANE!!!! Recommend this to anyone!!! Not for the faint of heart.

Great ppv the inferno match at the start is a great match to kick off the ppv.The last ride match stole the show but all the matches were great.

WWE ARMAGEDDON 2006 was a great pay-per-view to end the year 2006. This pay-per-view had plenty of solid matches that needs a mention, into buying this pay-per-view on DVD.The Last Ride Match between Mr Kennedy and the Undertaker was perhaps the best match of the night. I mean this match wasn't just going to be a match where you knew The Undertaker was going to win, it was a match that could have been Mr Kennedy's night. Mr Kennedy had the opportunity to win this match when he threw The Undertaker off the Armageddon scaffolding, to where we thought Mr Kennedy had it in the bag to win this match. But from out of nowhere The Undertaker sat up and totally dominated the last 5-6 minutes of the match to beat Mr Kennedy, with the Tombstone Piledriver to put Mr Kennedy to sleep. 5/5The second best match of the night had to be the fatal four way tag team ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Titles, where it involved one of the greatest tag teams that are always good in ladder matches e.g. The Hardy Boys. The ladder match itself was unpredictable with some amazing ladder moments, which included an unfortunate incident where Joey Mercury got his nose bust open with a ladder. But overall I think was a excellent tag team ladder match, with the London & Kendrick retaining the WWE Tag Team Titles. 4/5The Inferno match between MVP and Kane was a decent opener to the pay-per-view, to where MVP got a taste of what it was like to be set on fire. The main event also between King Booker, Finlay who teamed up against World Heavyweight Champion Batista who chose the WWE Champion John Cena to be his tag team partner. With both the tag match involving back and forth action.WWE ARMAGEDDON 2006 was indeed one of the best pay-per-views for 2006 and would recommend this pay-per-view for at least four amazing matches.

Match 1Kane vs MVP (Inferno Match)What a match. Flames surrounding the ring and when anyone hits the canvas they all go flying up!!! Predictable winner, but its always funny to see someone you hate on fire!!Rating: 8/10Match 2Tag Championship Hardys vs MNM vs Taylor and Regal vs London and Kendrik(Ladder Match)Originally this was just a singles tag 'till Teddy Long changed it into a ladder match and added the Hardys and MNM!!! Normally a vertical suplex onto the floor would stand out, but in this match no-one noticed because this match was so exciting already. It's sick when Mercury breaks his nose and ther's blood everywhere.Rating: 10/10Match 3Boogeyman vs MizOnly fit for your average smackdown if that. A boring match, unlesss you want to see the Miz get force-fed worms then I suggest you skip this match.Rating:2/10Match 4Chavo Guerreo vs Chris Benoit (US title)A decent card filler but not up to the standard of the first two matches. Good technical wrestling and lots of interference from Vickie but not entirly the best match.Rating: 6.5/10Match 5Gregory Helms vs Jimmy Wang Yang (Cruiser-weight title)Some very good wrestling and high flying moves. The crowd thought it was boring but for a cruiser-weight match it was top of the block.Rating: 7.5/10Match 6Undertaker vs Mr. Kennedy (Last Ride match)Classic Undertaker!!! This match was quality and didn't even take a wobble. Some bad commentry from JBL (trying to tell Kennedy how to win)was all that was bad about this match. I've never seen 'taker take a fall like he did in this match. Loads of false finishes. Very good.Rating: 9/10Match 7John Cena and Batista vs King Booker and FinlayVery slow and lost the attention of the crowd but when Hornswaggle came out from beneath the ring it started to pick up.7/10Overall good PPV which you should definitly buy!!!!!!!

Armageddon 2006 wasn't the greatest PPV of the year, but it's worth buying just to see the 4-way Ladder Match. The Hardyz, MNM, London/Kendrick and Regal/Taylor put on one of the best matches I've ever seen. It must be seen to be believed. The Last Ride Match between Kennedy and Undertaker is also surprisingly good.
