One of the best Retro handheld!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been in the market for a retro device for awhile and I was narrowed down to two options and I went with this one because of the cool color option. The device comes with a 128GB microsd loaded with a bunch of Japanese games for a few consoles. I did extensive research and this one was easy to setup out of the box. The battery life last easily 3-4 hours on a single charge and can handle up to PS2. This seller loads the device with stock firmware with a bunch of emulators ready for you to play. It’s an android device so getting onto WiFi was easy and connecting to my pc was as simple as plugging in a USBC to USBA. The hardware is super slick and looks great and feels great. I’ve been playing a lot of my old retro games and the nostalgia has been kicking me hard and I love it!

Missing/broken items
The product itself is cool but I got stuck drift right out the box, I didn't receive my charging cord, nor did I receive my sd card┐('ー`)┌

Great and powerful handheld device!
Great handheld with a lot of games. Great handheld if you hands are on the larger end of things. Buttons are super responsive. My only gripe is that it disnt have ANY Nintendo games. I understand why bit was still a shock. Will be sticking with Ambernic from now on.

Full Review of the RG556
The media could not be loaded. It’s good it can play Android games, but it can play GameCube games. It can play Bully on the PS2 super well, just make sure on PS2 don’t remove the frame limiter or it would make your PS2 games running fast. It runs smooth on 30 FPS if you remove the frame limiter it runs 40-50 FPS on bully. Again be warned the game will run fast like in Fallout game where game speed is tied to FPS. For those wondering if this device can run switch games. I did try Mario RPG on cutscenes it ran 60 FPS, which you can check on my screenshots. During gameplay I got 34 FPS, and I mean it’s ok it’s not like the Odin 2 where it can run it in 60 FPS. Considering the RG556 is only 260 it isn’t that bad. Overall it’s perfect for all emulation I know for the switch emulator is abandoned thanks to Nintendo so there is no more patches to make games run smoother. Without those patches switch emulation on Android is limited, good news there are people trying to install Linux on this device, and there’s more patches so maybe by then it should be able to play switch games with no issues. But till then buy the Odin 2 for switch games.

It has become impossible to play
I bought this in march and had mostly a good experience. I’ve done nothing extravagant to it other than adding games and a front end. Now the past couple months it’s began to reboot itself. And not just once but over and over and over until the battery dies. It’s basically bricked. I wish I could return it but my return window is closed. There’s no reason this should only last 6-8 months before becoming junk. Who can I contact to get it replaced or repaired? Absolutely ridiculous. (Picture only for showing what item I bought. Screen is a picture not a running emulator or bios.)

Not that bad
I can’t give it a 5/5 because there was a small amount of setup involved that might be a little confusing for a novice. I got through it and figured out how to get games on it but it did come with a 128g sd with some games for everything the Nintendo emulators, you’ll have to find those roms on your own. The screen looks great and it’s surprisingly well put together. So far it’s been able to play everything I’ve tried without issue. I like this little system but price is a little intimidating

Great working console that came with one major issue!
The console looks and feels well made. Mine arrived quickly and undamaged. However, upon booting up the language was automatically in Chinese!Tried asking around online and looking up tutorial videos on how to fix this. There might have been an option in the menus but when you can not read Chinese it gets pretty frustrating!I gave up and went looking for a full refund as I didn't want to go through the hassle with a replacement. Thankfully, the one plus buying through Amazon was that this was hassle free. I'm guessing I was sold a device that had previously been turned on because a few weeks later I shopped around and ordered one elsewhere and the very first thing you should get for factory new console is "Do you want English or Chinese language?" which the one I bought here did not give me.Looks like other people reviewing here didn't get my issue but I did unfortunately. I have bought 2 older models on Amazon over the years and had zero issues. But I have learnt a lesson and won't make this mistake a second time! My advice, shop around. Avoid the "if it looks too good to be true..." and stick with sales with 1000's+ of reviews and you will hopefully be ok. Side note, you'll often save more money than buying from here too, which is a bonus.

Great device with a comfortable grip for long plays
This device has a very good performance, playing up to GC. Has a very nice ergonomics for the hands and it’s comfortable to play for many hours. The screen is a very bright oled display, being a top tier on devices like this. The original software are a bit awkward, but its simple to install Emulation Station that gives the best interface to navigate through you game library.
