It's a great book. I love the recipes, pictures, info and warnings. It has it all.

This is a nice little guide book with plenty of helpful advice on the dos and don'ts of wild harvesting. Great for where I live. The pictures are very helpful, too.

HANDS DOWN.It is such a comprehensive reference. Not only does it cover identification, etc. but also guidance on the timing of your harvest (even by plant PART), preparing your medicinals, uses, dosages, and more. The photos are detailed and beautiful. I am from the mountains of Idaho and live in the high plains of Wyoming, and here I find a reference with all (well, a majority of) MY medicine plants! I cannot say enough good things about this book.Briana Wiles, you have done a superior job. Seriously- I have put a lot of thought into HOW one would organize and compile a better, more complete herbal guide (all of my plethora of others are lacking in some way), and here you’ve done it and done it beautifully. Thank you!

I ordered two different books, and this one is the better one by far. It has an index in the back, and is got so much information about each plant. Love this book.

This book is good overall, I just wish it had better, clearer pictures. Most of the pictures are pretty good, but a close-up view that showed important details would have been nice because some wild herbs are very similar looking and a bit difficult to tell the difference. The information contained however is quite nice, along with what grows most prolific at what times of the year, and what's the best areas and type of landscape to find them in. It's also small-medium sized, so it'll be easy to carry as I forage.

I love going through the pages of this book. I had many herbal gathering books when I left Oregon for Tucson but gave them all to my niece. Had my fill of this state and headed for a beautiful new state to once again gather in! Looking so forward to it and this book has very detailed pictures and information in it!

Excellent reference for medicinal plants in the Mountain States region.
