Because of the great performance of the initial ones that I ordered, I have ordered a total of 13 of these so far: 11x in color white and 2x in color black. The only engineering difference between the white and black styles is the power plug and cable: The white ones have a 3-prong (grounded) plug with a thicker cable and the black ones have a 2-prong plug (no ground) with a much thinner and flexible cable. In all reality, since the device only consumes 5 Watts (A standard light bulb consumes 100 Watts) the plug/cable difference is irrelevant. Device works great and combined with a programmable power-timer that sets on-off times it’s perfect. The light is very bright considering only 5w consumption which is necessary to attract the beasts from all corners of the room. So far all 13 of these I purchased not one failure a defect.

This bug zapper is amazing. I had a real problem with fruit flies and had tried everything I could find that was safe because I have a cat. Pesticides were out of the question. I no sooner set this zapper up in my living room than it started killing those nasty critters. At first, it startled me because I wasn't expecting the "zap" sound to be so sharp. It's like a loud snap. But after a short time I got used to it with no problem. This unit is nothing short of a miracle...does exactly as it claims...and I highly recommend it. Glad I bought 2...will be putting one in my kitchen. Thank you.

After being tormented by a few flies in our kitchen and family room for days, I purchased this gem. We plugged it in during the evening when other lights were off, just the tv. That glorious sound of fly #1 being zapped was wonderful! Followed in another hour by zap #2, and soon after, zap #3. WELL worth the money. This is a keeper. We'll use it should another pesky fly get in our house!

Overall it’s a great product, easy to clean, very effective for all the summer bugs and mosquitoes in southwest FL. Comes with a very nice hanging strap if you want to do that. The ONLY reason it’s not a 5 star is because of how loud it is when it zaps the bug. Holy hell. Even two rooms down it literally makes my heart stop it scares me everytime. I think my poor dog is scared for life. No idea why it’s so loud but I only turn it on certain times on the day because of this

I bought this last year when during the summer my apartment gets full of fruit flies and small flied. It works great. It attracts them very well and I see by the number of them being killed that it is doing a great job. I highly recommend this device over other type of solutions that you need to keep purchasing the glue and chemicals for attracting the flies.

Does really work good! And yes, it is loud. But not a zapping kinda loud like normal bug zapper where they sit there and get cooked for a couple seconds. This one is more of an instant "byeeeee" type zap. More like throwing one of those POP ITS on the ground. That's exactly what it sounds like lol. But it does work great, and I like the zaps.... Let's me know it's working.... And 1 less bug tryna mess with me
