Why did you pick this product vs others?:Have used this for both boat trailer wiring and speaker installation in the marine environment.The duplex version of this was extremely convenient for me to make a separate run for my clearance lights on my trailer. I used a trailer junction box and created a second circuit for them, isolating them from my main brake and turn signal lights. I also used these for installing boat speakers. The factory wiring wasn't tinned, so when I installed these new ones with new 8 inch speakers, they haven't broken a sweat.

Tough, good looking, does not short out when exposed to water. A short underwater connection at our dock did not work with lamp cord. Switched to this product and being submerged for a short distance in lake water to power 12V LED lights (out of the water) did not produce the same 'short circuit'.
