Decepticon campaigns!
Overall I really like this book- it’s very much like others from Renegade, high quality hardcover, bookmark, great art, and like the Cobra sourcebook for GI Joe assumes you not only have the core rules, but have a solid grasp of those rules, too. Nothing is reprinted; I know this annoys some people but to me it means more room for new stuff. If you were determined to do so, you could probably run a Decepticon-themed campaign with just the rule book and some ingenuity, but it’s nice to have even if you’re just making npcs and goes for your Autobot campaign, and the additional info (roles, etc) could be used for less pure autobots as well.If you’re running a transformers game, I think you should get this sourcebook, it would come in handy.

More than meets the eyes
Nice book, awesome drawings, system design of the game is easy to understand. A lot of fun role playing it.

The Decepticon Directive... has no Decepticons. Full write-ups for 30 Autobots, though.
A lot of Decepticons get a small blurb about their personality (which I suspect was copied directly from the back of the G1 toys), but not one Decepticon is written up in game terms. None. How good a sourcebook on Decepticons can it be when they aren't even written up?
