Q: I got this stuff and like it. But it is tough to get out. Dax claims their shampoo removes it but the shampoo reviews say otherwise. Suggestions?

I normally go fairly light with DAX High & Tight Awesome Hold and if I really want to get it 100% out of my hair I normally just shampoo twice with my everyday shampoo. YMMV depending on how much pomade you use and your shampoo.

Petroleum based products can remain in hair a few days before the hair gets dirty enough that you want to wash it out. Some say that years of pomade use can contribute to hair loss as it tends to clog hair folicels. So you want to not over do it. Give your scalp a break by throughly washing and switching for a while to a water soluble pomade which is less prone to clogging pours. You can sleep with pomades and if you use a lot you may want to use a doo rag to avoid having your pillows getting greasy.

Q: I've been using dax wave and groom in the orange and red can and noticed that sometimes it's thick and sometimes not. Is this high and tight thicker?

High and Tight is not thick, it's solid. You really have to work it in your palms to get it ready to spread in your hair. Once in your hair it doesn't come out unless you want it to. I've worn it on 100+ degree days and had no control issues.

Great wax with brilliant hold

I have used this for a couple of years but now it's very hard to get hold of...no pun intended...🤣 i have tried other waxes but this one remains my favourite for hold, styling and volume.

Great Product for a greaser

First purchased a tin of this at a Dax trade stand in vegas after using the the red tin for a year and found it more easy to apply but has the same desired effect, lasts for a long time and washes out a lot easier than the red tin, also has a great fragrance to it, all in all fantastic value for money product.

Not as strong as Red or Green

Not as strong as Red or Green despite saying it has awesome hold. Red and green are the two strongest ones out there, only green smells better and seems slightly easier to apply.

very good pomade recommended, normal shampoo will NOT take it off so either you live with greasy hair, or buy a very cheap shampoo and will get over it.

Good stuff.

Fits in half way between the red and green Dax. Strong hold but gives a slightly more textured, broken up effect than the red. Good stuff.
