Superfish Aqua Flow 100 Internal Filter 200L/H,black

Great little filter easy to maintain and a decent level of flow as long as you keep up with your tank maintenance, have four of the 100's and three of 200's running out of 15 tanks and am planning on swapping out the rest over the next few months.

I've had a tropical aquarium for a year now and this is my 2nd filter, purchased after a friend recommended the brand. I'm using it in a tank slightly smaller in volume than this filter is suggested for but have had no issues in the time I've been using it.PROs:The filter is small and compact which in a smaller tank is helpful.It is easy to clean and it's simple to change the activated carbon when needed. This is enclosed in the sponge media that comes with it and is secured by a stopper made of the same material.There is a slider on the front of the filter allowing you to increase and decrease the flow which works well.The power cable is relatively long allowing a good reach to a power supply which in my case has been useful.The bubble wand is detachable so its personal choice whether to use or not. I do.CONS:The key flaw I have found is the sucker cups on the back which are used to attach the filter to the glass. These are quite weak and I find I need to reattach to the glass every few days. This may be an issue if it comes whilst on holiday.OVERALL:A good product with few flaws. Small, compact, good water flow and easy to clean.At this price, I can live with having to reattach and I'd consider it good value for money.

Quality item. Have bought before. Replacement filters are available, I save buying to often by stripping the filter its easy just clips together and rinse out in clean water being careful not to loose the carbon chips inside the sponge

This is a really good, powerful little filter for the price.

I bought this as a like for like replacement- for the same filter that ran with no problems for 3 years. They really are great little filters that run perfectly if cleaned correctly. The adjustable flow is handy and arm attachment being adjustable too is perfect.I had to remove 2 stars for the instructions contained with this filter though. They advise to replace the cartridge once a month and to rinse the sponge under tap water to clean every 2 weeks. This is very bad advice!! Any experienced fish keeper will know NEVER to rinse filter media with tap water as it will kill all your media bacteria, undoing weeks of becoming established and causing the fish to potentially suffer with ammonia issues among others. Seeing as this type of filter would be popular with beginners to the hobby, this is really bad advice. Filter media should last for months and months if not years when cleaned with old fish water during water changes.

Good size for a small tank. Works well. Good price.
