I’m very happy with this Ring solar-powered camera, after 2 years still working great.The installation was super easy—even for someone who isn’t very handy—and it was up and running in no time. It works exactly as expected: clear video quality, responsive motion alerts, and solid performance day and night. The solar panel is a game-changer—it keeps the battery charged without any maintenance on my part.Perfect for monitoring my backyard, and I feel much more secure knowing it’s there. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable outdoor security camera that’s hassle-free.

I’ll start by saying this is the only home security cam I’ve ever used. But i don’t have any complaints or reasons to try any other brand!What these cost are extremely reasonable, compared to the quality of the product itself & adding that peace of mind to your life! I own 2 of them, exactly the same version: one over my front door, the other on my back patio. I live in a townhouse (meaning each side of my home shares a wall with the next-door tenants, so there’s no way to have a camera on “the side of the home” but if I did have a side wall facing the outdoor world, I’d have more of these cams!)Very first time installing the first one, I spent less time than I predicted. You’ll need an electric drill to mount the base plate. They’re more sturdy than they may appear.Don’t be intimidated by the technology side of things. It’s pretty simple! You’ll need a smartphone & a monthly subscription. There are various versions with certain features. I pay $11/mo. for the basic package, and it’s all I’ve ever needed. Which is well worth it! You will also need a reliable WiFi connection at your home.On the app, you can adjust how sensitive the motion detection is (as well as many other settings). You can change the lights to be always on or off/ brightness/ motion-activated, etc. keep in mind, all these options do affect battery life. But their charge does last a surprisingly long time! 2-3 weeks at a time, I’ve noticed. It has to have a lithium battery in it (included) to operate; there’s also an option to put 2 in simultaneously, so you don’t have to swap them out as often. Batteries charge by removing it from the camera, bringing inside, plugging into a USB cable + outlet cube. That being said, you’ll want an extra battery, so the camera can stay running while the dying battery charges.The image is clear enough, I can easily tell at a quick glance if that’s the neighbor’s kid, if that’s my roommate, our usual postal service person, etc. it also has audio recording that’s very clear too. So if you ever needed (God forbid) to report to police someone was threatening you, yelling at you, etc. here’s all your evidence!Having these 2 cameras truly does bring me comfort, knowing I can be aware what’s happening at home, even while I’m traveling or at work all day. Just the simple fact that the thing lights up very bright during motion, will startle a burglar away. Much recommend!Side note: if you’re going to install any surveillance within reach of very close neighbors (like me) I think it’s legally required that you make them aware of the possibility they may inadvertently be recorded brief moments here n there. My neighbors didn’t seem to mind. Because if someone broke into their door, they could ask me for the recording. So it can be a win-win, but please let people know. Otherwise that’s kinda like “breeching privacy”.

This Ring Spotlight Cam Plus has been a fantastic addition to our home security. The installation was straightforward and didn’t take much time at all, which was a relief because I’m not super handy with tech stuff.Having color night vision and a security siren really makes me feel safer knowing that our garage area is monitored well.The battery life is solid too. We just swap out the batteries when they start running low and it keeps working like new. Overall, this is a reliable and high-quality product that gives me peace of mind.Highly recommend if you want to boost your home security easily.

It only worked for 4 months before it broke, restarting it didn't help, the light wouldn't flash, I guess it's completely broken, it's disappointing.But they have real good customer service , finally i got a new one to replace, This is a respectable company.

Does what it is supposed to do. Worth aying the annual flat fee per location. It notifies me if it sees a human being or suspects human presence. I have it set to notify me if it detects any movement, but insists on only notifying me only if it detects a human. At night, it also automatically turn on its bright light by defaul when detecting motion. This can be turned off.

Works great! Have wired and solar cameras all around house this was easy to install in area with no wires! Clear picture and easy to connect!

This is the third outdoor Ring camera I have purchased to add to the other two protecting my property. The camera is well designed and has performed admirably in 110 degree sun throughout the years. I also bought a second battery for it and the solar panel to take advantage of the bright sun we get. I have had zero issues with install or setup, and other than cleaning the lens from time to time, the camera offers the quality I would expect from Ring. I do have them installed under an eave to help slightly protect from the elements. The camera has very little in terms of degradation of the outer cover even with constant exposure to the elements. With a second installed battery and the solar charger I have never had a camera go down because of a power issue. I plan on buying another one to complete the overall view of my property. The motion sensor and light were features I needed and this camera doesn't disappoint. Highly recommended!

Overall, I’m very happy with my Spotlight Camera Plus. It was relatively easy to physically install above my garage, and it was very easy to set it up with the Ring app. I’m very pleased with the sound and picture quality and brightness of the spotlight at night. The siren is also quite loud and jarring, so I imagine it would truly deter an intruder. It was also reasonably priced and is a good value for the money. I like that it can hold two batteries at a time, as the batteries are much less convenient to replace than the ones for my Ring video doorbells, since I need to get up on a ladder to access these batteries. It’s also a little harder to access the batteries on the spotlight cam. I’m less impressed with the motion detection feature, however. It has registered a lone leaf blowing across my driveway as motion, but failed to detect a coyote. The night vision is also not as great as I’d like. Overall, though, I’m quite pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable and affordable spotlight camera.
