These things are amazing and they light easy and burn a good while. They will help get your fire started.

Nice fire starting product, compact and easy to use, effective

Excellent product, was pouring rain and these still worked! Definitely made a space in my backpack for these.

I tested this two steps rate ways. 1st was cut open and unrolled. This was super easy to catch a spark (first strike) and burnt with a larger flame. Total burn time like this was 3 min exactly. 2nd way was just fluffing open one end. This was much harder to land a spark in, but didn’t take too many times. This way burned with a smaller flame, but total burn time was 8min 45 sec.I’ll most likely do a hybrid of these two methods. But you really can’t go wrong with these. More expensive than cotton balls and vasoline, but was cleaner, easier to use and burns longer.

Works pretty much as advertised. Used them in the rain and snow with a magnesium fire starter. Instead of using 1 or 2, you might need 3 or 4 per fire, unless your fuel is dry then less will do. I will buy more.

Burns well

Blackbeard fire plugs are a necessity for any fire kit! 50 1.25" x .75" plugs are packed into this small easy to pack bag. 1 plug weights next to nothing; the bag is very light. I didn't follow the directions, I just ripped off roughly a quarter, stretched it out, and with one strick with my ferro rod it lite up instantly. That little amount burned intense for 2 minutes; I actually has to smuther it because it wouldn't go out. Great quality and excellent performance!! Absolutely worth the money. Not many things suprise me but these did. I recommend these to any prepper, outdoor enthusiast, or if you want to light your fire place.

nice and small and light weight to keep in pack. they light very easily. i use my ferrule rod and they usually light on the first spark. they burn hot and long. good product.
