It’s a generic privacy screen guard and not matte privacy

I bought this for the 9H protection offered. After installing and putting on my phone case for back and side protection I happened for drop it from less than 3ft. It landed square on face with slightly upper right angle.I noticed an abrasion on the upper right side with slight chipping of the protective surface of the protector. The next thing I knew the protector started splitting downward on an angle. It is spreading now almost to the center.I know it did it’s job at protecting the main screen, but I’ve had several others last months on end without any issues.

I liked the matte finish but that was short lived. Be sure to get every speck of dust or smudge you will ever even think about off your phone before applying the protector. It’s a one shot deal and any minuscule residue will leave a huge flaw or bubble between the product and your screen. It also blurs the display considerably. I must have left a couple very small specks but when I tried to adjust and remove, the product became a vacuum for any floating debris. Trying further to achieve a clean surface, the product finally snapped in half. It is already in the garbage and I haven’t even had a chance to discard the packaging yet.

Just applied the screen protector to my phone less than 5 minutes ago and can confidently say that it is not worth it. Does it dim your screen? Yes. Does it actually protect others from seeing it from side angles? Yes. Is it as silky smooth as it says it is? Yes. The screen feels absolutely amazing to the touch. HOWEVER, it is blurry as blurry can get. It kind of makes your screen seem pixelated thus forcing you to strain your eyes in order to see. It is my only complaint but honestly a big one considering that I purchased an iphone for their nice screen display, only to not be able to enjoy its clarity due to this screen protector. Will not be using it and neither should you be purchasing it, TRUST ME. I cannot say if this issue is a recurring problem for all privacy screen protectors but at least for this specific one, it's an issue.

So I purchased this Privacy Screen Protector cause I had seen one and I really liked it. The one I had previously was fine but I didn't like the shiny surface, so I went for the matte finish. I originally got my iPhone in October and had the previous screen saver through February. The new one I got I installed right away and it lasted for about 2 weeks before it cracked. I am not sure how it happened but it happened in my pocket. I am not rough on phones and I was surprised because I have never had a screen protector break on me. So maybe I was due but I think it had more to do with the quality than bad luck.

Looks and feels nice on the phone(as a matte protector should). However, that’s it. NO Privacy (just a slight tint). But what makes this a 1 star product is that it blurs your screen. Like WTF? Now it feels like I need to get my eyes checked. Nah, not worth the time or money.Edit: I must’ve received a defective item because customer service sent a replacement and it’s exactly as advertised. Not sure why the first didn’t look this clear, I mean no blur. Both protectors look identical... But that’s above my pay grade. Point is, this one is phenomenal…
