No VRR, but the only one that works for LG OLED + RTX GPU's
This is probably the only DP to HDMI 2.1 cable/adapter that works for an LG OLED. Every single other one I tried had a problem out the box, though I mostly only tried cables. Do note that you will not get VRR, but that's okay, because VRR causes flickering in most OLEDs anyway.

Excellent Solution for RTX 5090 & S90C issues
This Hdmi 2.1 to DP 2.0 adapter is a lifesaver!!!I have a RTX 5090 Graphics Card and a Samsung S90C OLED TV and they just do not work wepl together at all. Extreme amount of flickering, random black screens, crashes, color corruption.I spent hours and hours troubleshooting, reinstalling drivers multiple times, pouring through obscure forums looking for any clue, tries an HDMI emulator adapter, and no luck at all and then I came across this adapter and my S90C is finally not flickering or having any issues!!! I would have paid double the price for this after finding out how it well worked.I dont even notice the lack of VRR, there was no screen tearing whatsoever when gaming maybe the 5090 was pushing enough frames not to notice but regardless Im a happy camper.

Doesn't help between Samsung and Nvidia
Didn't work for my application. Would connect to my 4080 Super as NV Failsafe instead of the Samsung QN90B on the other end of the cable. Sometimes after reconnecting it several times it would finally pass the correct edid between the devices and let them work.Often times, while working perfectly it would flicker, or blank, or cause the display to artifact.A lot of people seem to love this adapater but it just didn't work for me.

Thankful this product exists
A bit of a godsend for me, given my rather embarrassing situation. Spent a good deal of time unplugging and plugging in my graphics card, doing upgrades to my PC. Last instance of plugging in the HDMI cord, boom, bent the HDMI receivers. Did some research and found that I could use a Display Port to HDMI adapter to regain use of the graphics card. Ran into the problem of not quite finding a suitable adapter for what I wanted resolution and refresh rate wise. Then comes along this product. Works instantly, no oddities as of yet. More than able to maintain my current 4k, 120 hertz setup, and play my modern games. The adapter does get somewhat warm, but certainly not hot. Good price for the product, given the value of being able to use it rather than taking my graphics card to a professional for a risky repair to a modern graphics card. I will update this review if anything becomes amiss or is substantial enough to inform others about. For reference, my graphics card is an MSI Radeon 7900xtx (one HDMI 2.1, three DP 2.1).

Provides 4K 120hz 10bpc RGB 4:4:4
I have two LG OLED Flex monitors, which are capable of 4K 120Hz but they only have hdmi ports. My 7900 XTX only has a single HDMI port, plus 3x DisplayPort. I have tried a dozen adapters and DP/HDMI cables, but none are able to do what this CalDigit active adapter can. In Windows 11, I'm able to run 4K@120hz 10bpc RGB 4:4:4 (you can use AMD's Adrenaline software, go to settings->display and select your monitor, then look for color depth and pixel format). Zero screen tearing or flickering. The only downside appears to be an issue with any conversion from DP to HDMI at all, which is FreeSync/VRR are simply not supported. Unfortunately the options for a recent GPU with 2x HDMI ports are sparse, though a 7800 XT from Sapphire does exist which may or may not work to provide 2x 4K 120hz 10bpc RGB 4:4:4 with VRR & FreeSync. I don't have that card to test it out, but I do know this CalDigit adapter is the best you're going to find, just make sure you're using a certified 8K HDMI cable as well.

Works PERFECTLY with 4K 120 Hz
This HDMI to DisplayPort adapter works perfectly to allow me to send 4K 120Hz from my PC to my TV as a third monitor. Attached is the NVIDIA Control Panel setting that I use, but it has worked in every setting that I have tested thus far. Great build quality. I cannot get VRR to work with it, but I would not even ding a star for that (plus, the item description does not claim that it can do VRR). This item saved me from having to figure out how to split the one HDMI output on my RTX 4090.
