Q: Will this fit a thigh that is 29 inch?

Most likely no. This brace is an one size fits all or universal fit. I order this for my husband and looking at them my answer is no. As a former nurse you absolutely do not want a brace too tight, as your circulation will be cut off. So what do you do? Search for a size specific brace, such as XLarge 2xlrg,etc. Make sure the size specifically states it will fit the measurement of your thigh, even if says for example ; fits 29-34 inch. There is going to be a range with all sizes, unless you have it custom made. Remember also; to measure 6 inches from the patella of your knee or center upward to your thigh, for the best fit. Q: How do you set the flexion dials for numbers not shown. The dial gives you 10, 20, 40, 60 then straight to 90. I need 70 & 80

You can't set them to 70 or 80. I suppose at those amounts you cannot walk comfortably and must be seated. If that's the case I'd try 90 then loosen the velcro straps for a little more range so instead of hitting a hard stop you'd feel the tension of the velcro strap.
