I have a small 20l Berghaus backpack which is my regular everyday / grocery bag and it's great for that, highly recommend if you want something small https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NMNCRYYI needed a more suitable overnight bag, with a chest/sternum strap, water bottle pouches, laptop compartment and more space. This is perfect. You can access the main compartment from above or below, and everything is easy to get to. The positive reviews are there for a reason. It's sturdy, comfortable (with ample padding on the back and the straps), has a padded top handle, good zips and it looks nice too (I like the grey version personally).I did try a cheaper 30L bag before this which was very light and cheap feeling and shipped in a bag - it folded down to nothing, like something you'd buy off Temu. This bag ships in a box because it's a better built more substantial product. Worth paying a little more for a bag you'll love that will last.Note - there is no waist strap, because this is not a hiking bag, it's smart and designed to wear for maybe an hour at a time as you walk to a hotel / train station / classroom / office, not between mountain tops.

Really impressed with this bag for the price. It’s well-built, comfortable to carry, and fits loads without feeling bulky. I’ve adapted it to carry my camera gear by adding a padded insert, and it works brilliantly – loads of space, and the layout is surprisingly versatile.Fits my 17-inch laptop with no issues, and the TSA-friendly design makes airport travel much easier. I've been on the hunt for a travel bag for short (2-3 day) trips that would be easy to live with, and I think I found itIt looks really nice - all black, small logo, nice and stealthy, but with some "design" elements such that it's not too boringIt's very comfy to wear (I'm 6' 2") and feels well made (zips, straps etc all feel solid)I love being able to load it like a duffle, and it's handy to have the separate laptop section which is well paddedTwo, big water bottle pockets that are nice and secure makes life easyIt's just perfect (IMO) - kind of what I'd design for myself if I couldImprovements: being able to tuck away/secure the shoulder/rucksack straps would be handy for loading/unloading on a plane - but that's about all I can think of

After three months of daily use, I can confidently say that the Tomtoc 40L travel backpack is built to last. The high-quality materials have held up remarkably well, showing no noticeable damage despite being subjected to regular wear and tear as I mainly used it as a work bag to carry powerlifting equipment whilst carrying daily work essentials.However, there is one design flaw worth mentioning: the bottom of the bag tends to bulge unattractively when it isn’t fully packed. This issue is less pronounced when the bag is filled to capacity, making it more suitable for travel or extended trips. The straps on the sides also dangle close to or on the floor when holding the bag sideways which isn't the best, somewhere to stow these would have been helpful.The buckles are sturdy and reliable, though they don't quite match the robustness of Duraflex. Still, they perform well for the price point of the bag. Comfort is a strong point, with thick straps that make it easy to walk or cycle for extended periods without discomfort. The longest I have had the bag fully packed and on my back without discomfort has been around 40 minutes which to me is enough time to get to a train/car/plane to take it off.One standout feature is the innovative access to the spacious main compartment via the red tabs in the laptop compartment. This design element adds convenience and efficiency when retrieving items on the go.Overall, the Tomtoc 40L is a solid choice for travelers, with excellent durability and comfort, though it shines best when fully packed.

Why did you choose this product over others?:I have spent a very long time researching travel bags for 1 bag travel. My goal was to find a bag for use on domestic flights to carry a couple of days worth of clothes and have a separate area for laptop access to avoid carrying a small suitcase and laptop bag and also still look professional at work (casual/ smart is usually the dress code).This bag delivers the balance between price and quality some of the bags I considered were 2x or 3x the price of this one. I haven't used it yet but it seems well made and uses quality materials and was impressed with the packaging it arrived inAs per some of the reviews I have watched, this is smaller that the 40l advertised size, but this isn't a deal breaker as this is the correct size for what I need when the bag is full to comfortably wear on my back and also not look like I am in transit when carrying it in the workplace.I chose this over the more expensive and newer t67 because of the design, and the fact it has 2x drinks carriers so I can either carry 2x drinks bottles or switch 1 out for an umbrella.Overall I am very happy and would recommend this

Its a Tomtoc bag, whats more to say? Great build and materials and an amazing price. I've yet to travel with it, but during a test run I was able to pack more into it and it still feels comfortable. It seems to be easy to present all my electronics for checking, but time will tell on that. I plan to use it as a dedicated travel bag since I have to travel multiple times a year. It stores really well, with ample space to store stuff inside it. I have it prepped with all my travel gear so I can quickly pack and go. It won't be replacing my Showerpass backpack for day to say use, but maybe the Tomtoc T-73 will do that!
