Q: How can I stop the ticking noise?

I don't know. I learned to accept it. I bought the timer for my kids. I decided the ticking noise is good for them to be aware that time is passing.

Q: Does this ring? Or can it be used silently?

No sorry. It ticks and rings quite loudly. I needed that for my space however there is no quiet setting.

Q: My students messed with this timer, which i had on the wall, when i wasn't looking. now the whole circle stays blue. :-( is there any way to fix it?

Sitting here with a cracked cover and a torn blue disk and no way to fix. Sad to say what I thought would be a simple screw to open, fix, and return to working is now a heap of trash.
