First time using this, the learning curve was steep but doable. If you buy this and cannot get the pigtail (or wire) to click, check your crimping, it has zero tolerance of oval or oblong crimps. A ferrule crimper worked best for me.Also feel free to buy more contacts, it only comes with exactly 4, so no mistakes can be made.

Powerwerx is an awesome company! All of their products are top-notch. I have used these products on several projects. I have not had the first issue. I am not sure why these things are so expensive, but if you need them, then get them. I’m not sure why the price is the same for a two-panel and the single. Might as well get the two-panel, in case you want to expand or add something later.

Easy install because you only need to drill one standard hole. Negatives this is a very expensive option. Not really worth $30.00 after taxes. I built this into a LIFEPO battery module that I built to fit inside a Harbor Freight Apache 4800 case. I have built other battery boxes using a $9 power pole unit but I had to cut a square hole creating more work but looks just as good. If you need to save time this is the way to go by using this device.

Perfect for my battery box, easy to install and fit in the space I intended.

This is slightly larger than the OEM hole for the cigarette lighter in a Ram pickup. But a few swipes with a box knife fix that and it’s working great.

I use various sizes of Anderson connectors I’m quite a few different projects, including RV automotive and solar. Highly recommend this product. In particular, I use this one going through my battery box on my RV to connect to my lithium ion phosphate batteries. I could jumper in a solar panel, or even my Starlink satellite without having to open the box. What’s even better is I can run a solar panel and have the Starlink at the same time because this has two ports. The waterproof cover works excellently.

Here’s the thing…. This is a versatile item and I love the ease of working with it. That said there are some people who waste your time vaguely answering your questions about it….. I won’tThe powerpole is shipped with the red on the right and the black on the left. This is not the industry standard. (Check the web) ultimately it doesn’t matter because you can just invert it and all will be fine.If like me you don’t want to see the plugs upside down you have to learn about the retaining pin. It goes through one side of the entire (round) housing to the other. Online they never show it as one long pin but rather show a smaller pin that goes between the red and black halves. This can lead to some confusion. If you want your contacts oriented a certain way you have to know how to remove the pin.Locate the round orifice in the threads of the assembly. Look inside and there’s your pin. I used a 12v tester because it’s tip is long and tapered. Whatever you choose only requires that it fits in the hole far enough that when pushed, the pin comes out the other side. It can require some effort to get it started but it’s that tension that makes it work. I carefully used pliers to pull the pin free. I rearranged the red and black pieces and reinserted the retaining pin using the 12 volt tester.Caveat! If you don’t get the pin in far enough it will interfere with the threads and the securing ring. With a little effort soon it will be a cinch!!So fellow shoppers buy this item and have fun!
