I have callouses forming constantly on my heels and both sides of my feet and have been struggling for years to stay on top of them. I have narrow, awkwardly bony feet so it seems unavoidable no matter what shoes I wear or how much lotion I put on. I tried regular pumice stones (ineffective), rasps (effective but gave me raw spots on my feet which calloused worse than ever so that backfired), and more recently electric devices (loud, effective but slow and awkward to maneuver). I was skeptical but tried these because the price was right and the glass files were about the only thing I hadn't tried.First attempt, paired with soaking in epsom salt and a callous remover gel. The callouses practically slid off the bottom of my feet. It was kind of like gross magic.Second attempt a week later, I tried doing a tiny bit of patch-work on dry feet to see what happens. Still works! Just a little less effective. Probably better to follow directions, but I can't be the only one who tries to skip steps sometimes.Jury is out how long it will last since other reviews say they wear down over time, but I see this being something I'd definitely buy again when needed.

Like others have said, give your feet a nice soak and with a gentle touch, use the large file to buff away rough heels and calluses. No more graters! This does a terrific job.I didn’t use the smaller files for shaping, I used them to shine my nails. I don’t paint my fingernails and I’ve given up pro pedicures for the moment to save money. My nails and toenails are so shiny and healthy looking!This kit has got me ready for summer sandals, no nail polish required:)

After years, okay decades, of using pumice stones, diamond buffers, acids and getting pedicures I bought this. I figured for the price it couldn't hurt to try yet another thing to buff feet. The tool for the heel is magic...truly incredible! I soaked my feet then buffed. Maybe 5 minutes to take of decades of build up.
