Fun learning set
The media could not be loaded. My 16 month old has had a lot of fun placing the letters on the fridge. This is going to be a fun learning toy once she is older. Currently this is helpful to keep her occupied when I’m cooking.

Missing a letter magnet
I always love and appreciate the quality of Melissa & Doug toys. My granddaughter loves them as well. However, when I opened the magnetic letters and alphabetized them, I found that we were missing the lower case “f”.I home school and keep all my materials well organized. I’m hoping to resolve this issue without returning the entire set.

Any thing produced by this toy company is always a hit with my granddaughter. I only wish they were made in USA.

Toddlers and Adults Love These!
I got these because I wanted my toddler to have something to play with in the kitchen while I’m cooking or cleaning. I didn’t want to add one more plastic item to my house, so these are perfect. The wood that these are made of are very durable and stands up to my toddler chewing on it. I also like that the magnetic part is painted on, so I don’t have to worry about my daughter choking on any little magnetic pieces. I love how bright and colorful these magnets are, and the paint has not chipped. They are the perfect size for my toddler and are strong enough to stay on the refrigerator. The adults in the house enjoy making words from these letters as well.

Matching letters
My 2 and 1 year old loves to play with them, however when they are all mixed together the 1 capital I and lowercase l all look the same.

3-yo plays with them daily, and has learned 3-digit numbers
Strongly recommended. These are made of 3-ply plywood (it appears to me) so they're solid and have enough thickness to grip easily. Most other kids' magnets we looked at were thin and would be frustrating to manipulate. The characters are brightly colored and the surface appears durable. We gave a set to a grandson for his 3rd birthday, and he played with them for long periods every day during a recent week-long visit. He already knew counting up to about 100 though nothing about how the the numbers looked, but after about 3 weeks of playing with these he could construct and identify any 2-digit number ("This is forty-seven, but if I move the '7' it's seventy-four!") and was starting in on 3. Note to other grandparents: it's difficult to explain a leading zero :o)We paired this gift with a set of dinosaur magnets by the same maker. Links aren't allowed in review, but you could search Amazon for "Melissa & Doug Magnetic Wooden Dinosaurs in a Wooden Storage Box (20 pcs)" if so inclined. Those are just as good.
