In short, I have suffered hormone-related insomnia for the last decade. It has become increasingly disabling over the years as I have experienced less and less relief. My typical experience at age 52 is 2-3 hours of sleep per night on the week days, for about 3 - 4 nights before my body is so exhausted it shuts down and allows for at least 5 straight hours, then the cycle starts all over again. It has drastically affected my ability to work, relate to friends and family and just generally think in a straight line.I’ve tried other Valarian root teas before (awful tasting by the way), and had only found them to give me a gentle tired feeling. It was enough to get me to fall asleep, but not enough to keep me asleep. Enter Hey Girl Sleep Tea. Firstly, the taste is actually pleasant! Secondly, this company doesn’t publish the mg of Valarian Root, only the total mgs of the entire proprietary blend. I imagine the number Of V Root mgs is much more significant than the tea I buy in the grocery store though.It took about two weeks of drinking this tea (and yes, as the directions indicate, I do steep the bag for 15 minutes before drinking), to realize that the sleep I was getting wasn’t just a hormonal fluke. I drink this about an hour before bed, and can now sleep from 5 - 7 hours per night with only a few nights of insomnia in between. In the last 19 days, I have had 14 nights of sleep where even if it is interrupted, I am able to fall back to sleep easily. Yes. I still have nights when I cannot sleep, but they are now much fewer in number and as a result are much more easily dealt with. I can work, converse and relate more competently now, and I am so thankful for this tea and for the company who makes it.Now a quick product warning. There have been a couple of days when I’ve felt exhausted all day, and I believe it may have something to do with the V Root dose, so when this happens I take a night off from drinking my cup. Also, for some it can be irritating if you drink it on an empty stomach. Otherwise, this tea is a godsend.

I drink it before bedtime. I can't tell if it is really making me sleepy or not, itsvery comforting though

It’s great to have a relaxing cup of tea after a busy day. This bedtime tea tastes delicious and is easy to drink. I highly recommend trying it. Once you do, you’ll want to have a cuppa every night!

I purchased this hoping it would help me sleep a little better. Once received, I tried it and unfortunately it didn't work for me. I tried two nights and just didn't get a calming effect. Everyone's body is different and mine. Have to say customer service was very responsive when I reached out to them - that's a PLUS!!

Although I’ve tried other items like gummy’s in order to help me sleep, this tea has seemed to be mostly consistent in helping me fall asleep and stay asleep.
