I'm not sure if it's middle age or more significant stress, but the last few years I have really had difficulty sleeping. I first tried a powder form from a different company, which wasn't super fun to take. Then I found Himalaya Organic Ashwagandha, which is in pill form, and it has helped quite a bit. I now have it on Subscribe and Save. I sleep much better, don't have strange dreams, and I don't feel drugged when I wake up. I have more energy than I've had in a while, which I don't necessarily attribute to the herb itself, but to the fact that I get better sleep. Ashwagandha is known to help relieve stress and I do feel slightly less edgy when I take it regularly. So, I've been trying to take it nightly now.I don't have any weird side effects or stomach issues with these pills, but they're a tad difficult to swallow. I don't know how to describe them...they're just the herb smashed into pill-form. They're not in a gel cap or anything, and they're dry. I break the pill in half (it's easy to do) and swallow each half separately, which makes it a lot easier. It just tastes like dried herbs or grass, nothing gross. I will happily taste grass to feel better overall.
