Not as shown in ad. Received open box with batteries loose in separate boxes. Was this a return? I couldn't find an expiration date/best used by date.

We all use batteries these days, for everything from our TV remotes to flashlights, digital thermometers, blood pressure machines, audio devices, smoke detectors, and a host of other things. The Energizer bunny has made Energizer batteries famous, both for their dependability and long service life.One thing that has plagued small batteries like these is leakage that can ruin a device, and I can say that Energizers have never leaked and damaged any of my devices, even if I forgot them and left them in place too long.These Energizer Max batteries advertise a shelf life of 12 years, and while the outside packaging doesn't show an expiration date, each battery has it printed on the label. The ones I just got in early 2025 show an exp. date of 12-2036. They do not show a mAh rating like some batteries.There's not a lot to say about these well-known batteries, except that my own experience has been that they're well-made and they perform well. That makes them 5 stars in my book.
