I bought this knee scooter with the idea of adapting it for my own situation. I am an above knee amputee so I thought I’d be able to put a seat on and scoot. It works so incredibly well, I’m over the moon.The scooter frame is strong, the steering good and it is well balanced. The bag is big enough to put a small amount of groceries in or I emptied the dishwasher by putting a few things in the bag at a time. I walk my elderly husky with it, being careful, it is a joy to get out and about in an upright position compared to sitting in a wheelchair all day. I’m looking forward to using it to plant up my greenhouse come the growing season. The big wheels are good on tarmac, gravel and short grass. I can’t comment on using it as a knee scooter as I can’t use it as it was intended to be used, but recommend its sturdiness and usefulness.

This knee scooter is amazing, super easy to put together. Fits in the boot of the car as it folds down. We couldn’t have gone away without it. I thought people would give us funny looks using this but so many people thought it was amazing and had never seen a walking aid like it. A big 6ft2 man is using it as he has injured his leg and will be off it for months, so this is going to be super helpful. Well worth the money!

This product is certainly more comfortable than crutches (I broke my ankle in two places). However, it’s SUPER TALL. Even when the pad is on the lowest setting I need to walk on my tippy toes on my good foot - and I am not short (I’m 5’8”). I would warn short people to measure carefully before purchasing.The device itself is good but a little cumbersome. However, I give 4 stars for sturdiness and maneuverability because each day it’s a little better for me. I expect it just takes practice.Also, be sure you have a tire pump to inflate the wheel (something I did not think about when I ordered it, but it could not be used without the tires being inflated first).Finally, (and this was my own misunderstanding, no fault of the seller) you cannot sit on this scooter and move. You can sit on the seat and rest for a moment, but it really is not built for sitting and scooting. You need to look at the more expensive models if you want to sit and scoot.

Very easy to assemble, one push-in fastening and three chunky knobbed bolts, no tools needed. Adjustable for height, robust and stable in use. Sensible lock-on brakes. Useful bag for handlebar stem provided but I have replaced that with a solid wire basket from an old mobility buggy which enables carrying food and drink in suitable containers. When sitting, the transverse depression in the knee trough allows the aid to be used as a rest to elevate a leg.

Absolute life changer. Uses a fair bit of energy but it has allowed me to visit my mum in hospital. Very easy to use, the bag is great and is easily detached. Folds to go into the car.Highly recommend for anyone with leg injuries/ fractures . It has given me independence in the house to allow me to teach the kitchen snd make a drink in a flask. Not great on uneven surfaces but wouldn't expect it to be. These need greater awareness as many people do not know these are out there.

I read all the great reviews before I bought this scooter and I am so confused. It’s like I have bought a completely different thing??I can see that it would be very good for in the house but the minute you get outside it’s a death trap. The first time I used it I went along a pavement that very slightly sloped to one side, I lost my balance and over I went cutting and badly bruising my knee (on the same leg I have a broken ankle!) Today (6 days after the incident) I thought I would give it another try and again just don’t understand how people are using this? It is so unsteady, the minute you go over a bump it is completely off balance and it really takes a lot of effort with your good leg to scoot. You also can’t get very far as the front wheels are in the way of your good leg??If I could return it I would. Sadly I’ve used it so I can’t.

I liked the idea of this scooter as I have to be non weight bearing for quite a few months and I thought that this would let me more independent, but the knee rest is to high and I’ve used it haven’t sent it back, but it is definitely something you should bear in mind. It is very sturdy and if the right height would be great for use.

This is an absolute godsend, I fractured by lower right leg, had it repaired with lots of pins and screws. Also fractured metarsals in left foot. This item is my freedom, I can get to the loo and no bedpan. They gave me crutches but fell over 4 times with them. I also purchased the sheepskin knee seat, really useful. The turning circle is not great, you have to be careful going over obstacles as it can become unstable. If you have a lower leg injury buy yourself this item. It gives you back some dignity, they should give them out in the NHS, this item is so much safer. Thank you so much to whoever invented this, I think you have stopped worse re accidents happening as well as saving my ego and mental health.
