Fragrant for a short time
The JLo gift set includes a 30ml EDP in a black square bottle with clear square lid with a backing of tiger stripes (a bit tacky). Then there are two black tubes – a 75ml shower gel and 75ml body lotion. A downside to the perfume is you can’t see how much is left in it. It reminds me a bit of an Avon catalogue smelling it from the bottle but quite different when sprayed. I found it started off quite sophisticated but quickly mellowed into a musky watermelon. The musk is quite noticeable but for it being an EDP I was quite disappointed by how quickly it faded on the skin – it’s something I need to reapply throughout the day. The shower gel I found to be surprisingly thick and although it lathered it wasn’t luxurious. It was also very drying on the skin so it definitely needs to be followed by a moisturiser. The body lotion is creamy but definitely more of a lotion than a cream. It soaks into the skin quite quickly but doesn’t really match the scent of the perfume – it’s far sweeter with a grassy sort of scent. I don’t hate it but it’s not something I’d want to use on large areas because it would run out in no time but at the same time the scent isn’t overpowering and like the perfume, fades very quickly. Overall I don’t think it’s really for me – not quite as complex a fragrance as I’d have liked, it doesn’t stick around long enough and the lotion and shower gel were a bit disappointing for me.
