Great for deer corn feeders
Worked perfect for my 6v corn feeder. Hooked up a car battery with it.

Spot-on Accuracy!
I recently used an emergency radio from CC Crane, the 'CCRadio-SW', while at 10,000' in the Colorado high country, while elk hunting. Unfortunately, the large capacity 'D' batteries ran down, so we were out of luck keeping updated on weather, etc. I wished that I could have connected this radio to a large, marine-type, deep-charge, 12v battery, which was running our lights, but I didn't have the proper adapter. CC Crane tech staff later reported that they used to carry a 12v adapter, but no longer. The tech guy confirmed that I would have to be sure not to fry the circuitry in the radio, and would have to reduce the 12v DC to 9v DC. This converter from DROK is perfect. This component is very well labeled for in/output, and polarity. My digital multi-meter reads an output of a hair over 9v, from a fully charged marine/deep-cycle battery. I connected this DROK converter to an in-line fuse holder, using a 0.5mA glass fuse. My radio is rated at 500 milliamps, so this arrangement is working great. I used 18-22 gauge, crimp/butt connectors, pieces of small gauge wire, and used an old DC plug, being careful to observe correct polarity. So now, this radio will operate off of 120v AC, 12v DC, or 'D' batteries...perfect for an emergency/backcounty radio!

Happy happy
It’s not a full 9VDC output, but close enough. Works with my QMX+ transceiver wired for 9 volts.

Drink 12 volt to 6 volt step down converter.
I ordered 8 of these to wire individually for my gauges, radio, clock, wiper motor, and heater blower when I converted my 6v positive ground car to 12 v. Perfectly designed, easy to install, compact piece that fits in tight spots, and worked perfectly! Highly recommend!

Good step-down transformer
These are excellent step-down transformers. I've got several of them, and they always seem to have the right voltage and amperage for my applications. I've got a couple that are a few years old now, and still working very well. Excellent product, highly recommend.** UPDATE **Had to take away a star on March 18th, 2017; last one I ordered only lasted 14-months, and that was with powering a simple 10w transistor radio (insignificant, constant load). Durability shouldn't even be a consideration on a simple dc/dc power converter, either it should work, or it shouldn't - not 14 months until dead - not when stepping down a constant load that's half the rated load.

It is all right. But gets really hot!
Works as expected and does a good job for short tasks with high load. If used fro longer, gets really hot and should not be used for currents close to the stated limit. If you want to use it for long term jobs, use it for not more than 1/3 of the Amps limit. Otherwise it will show a defect pretty soon, because of the high operating temperature.
