It is always good to hear stories of lives that went from impossible places but persevered. We all have a dream to work on and can have a happy life getting to the best we can be. Others are always in the same situation as you and are struggling together. They make the best friends!

What a great book! I read this with my third grader for a school project and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Ben Carson’s life is an incredible testament to perseverance, faith, and dreaming big. His life is a true picture of what can happen when a person gives their life to God.

My 4 kids enjoyed the audio (ages from 4 to 11). Inspiring story. Loved the scene that emphasized how reading books is a huge key to growth and opening doors. We watched the movie Gifted Hands after completing the audio. (Note: lunch time was a perfect time to hear the audio).

There isn't a book about Ben Carson that I didn't enjoy. To my estimation he is a great American who though born in poverty turned his life around by doing something that every American can do if he tries. Reading is the way to education. Don't cut yourself short by your choice however but make wise choices that you can be sure is going to be useful for you. Then use that knowledge to better your life. That is just what Ben did and today our country is richer because he and his brother had a wise mother who directed them in the way they should go. I have told others about how I feel about Ben and given them my books to read so that they can find out what this great man is all about.

Accurate as well as enjoyable in the writing's layout

I did not even know Ben Carson was running for President of the United States. I am very impressed by this man's life. I am not a political person but I am definitely supporting him to run our country . May God bless him and his family and keep them safe . Hopefully he will be our next president of United States in 2016 .

This is by far my favorite book. I love how he overcame all of his hardships to realize his dreams. Ben Carson is an amazing person and sets a wonderful example for young people everywhere.
